About Tour Guide Kaori K.
Hello! My name is Kaori.
When I was young I was interested in tourism.
I was studying and working as tour conductor around Kanto area in Japan.
I lived abroad from my early 20s to mid 30s.
Australia, Taiwan, Central America, Great Britain, Spain and Italy.
Now I came back and live in Osaka where I was born.
The reason why I applied for the tour guide is because I was pleased when I guided my foreign friends around Japan.
Me personally love traveling a lot.
Especially trekking in the mountains and MTB trip by myself!
I’ve done El Camino De Santiago in Spain 4times!
Camino francés, Vía de la plata, Camino Norte, Camino de Madrid, Camino de San Salvador, Camino primitivo.
I’ve done Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, too.
I’ve travelled around Morocco, Greece and Italy by MTB :)
I love adventure!
I love to look up sightseeing informations and listen to the story of travelers!
In japan I also lived in several different prefectures such as Osaka, Nara, Wakayama, Tokyo, Kanagawa.
I might be able to guide you not only popular touristic sites but also to local hidden sights!
Please focus things what you like and want!!
I promise to do my best to organize a tour that is consistent with your interests!
Thank you for paying attention for my self-introduction.
I’m looking forward to see you soon.
LOVE

“A wonderful reunion with Kaori—this time in Kyoto!”
After a fantastic experience with Kaori in Osaka three years ago, we were absolutely delighted to reconnect with her for tours in Kyoto and Kobe. It was a true pleasure to see her again; it felt less like a formal tour and more like catching up with a dear friend while exploring new cities. Kaori is incredibly adaptable and can seamlessly adjust the itinerary to meet our needs. We highly recommend her tours to anyone looking for a personal and professional experience. Who knows—perhaps we will catch up with her again in a few years if we return. Thank you for everything, Kaori!

“Excellent guide for our first day in Kyoto”
Kaori is an outstanding guide. She communicated really well ahead of the tour, keeping us informed of weather conditions and willing to adjust time to avoid rain (we ended up starting earlier than planned). She was very attentive and willing to adjust the pace for our 9yo. She was also knowledgeable and kept the tour very interesting. Her English is very good. And more than trying to describe all her many positive points, I would say that I would not hesitate to hire Kaori in the future - I would highly recommend her if you looking for a guide in Kyoto.

“Kaori’s resourcefulness helped rescue our trip”
We had reached out to Kaori to be our guide for 4 days across Kyoto and Osaka, little realizing at that time that her resourcefulness is what would help us to complete our Japan visit without missing a beat. When the morning after Day 1 my wife sprained her ankle, even before we stepped out of our hotel that morning, and I thought that this was the end of our visit, Kaori literally took charge! Always cheerful and confident, she sprang into action and with lightning speed arranged for a wheel chair, a cane to help my wife walk a little at the attractions, some medicines to help, hired a van (since we were 5 as a family) to travel point to point, and took us around to most of all the places we wanted to visit as if nothing had happened. For the next 3 days she was right by my side and on her own shared the responsibility to push the wheelchair almost half of the time, so I could be freer to explore the attractions more and take pictures. She even called up the airline’s Japan office and arranged for a wheelchair for my wife so that even at airports my wife could transit without any worries. Thank you, Kaori, for all your help beyond just being our guide. We simply could not have enjoyed Kyoto and Osaka without you!!

Bamboo grove and Arashiyama area, three World Heritages.
Arashiyama is the hottest tourist destination. It is incredibly beautiful in spring and fall because of its cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. In the fall, the leaves turn brown or red! In the outstanding Tenryuji, you will see a beautiful garden with beautiful mountains in the background. There are many other beautiful places with touching stories in this area. On the way back to downtown, we can visit two world heritage sites, Kinkakuji and Ryoanji. What a wonderful route!

Premium tour of Kyoto (1) : Arashiyama, Nijo-jo Castle & Kinkakuji temple
Why not enjoy your holidays in Kyoto? You can certainly get in touch with many things Japanese that we are proud of. They are old temples and shrines, cultural assets and the beautiful natural surroundings. You can also enjoy dropping in at souvenir stores and buy exquisitely made products, such as folding fans, porcelain and traditional Japanese cakes. I would like to take you to the following places, which are the three representative tourist destinations in this city: (1) Arashiyama It is the place where all the traditional natural beauties of Japan are combined together. They are Togetsukyo bridge, bamboo grove and the old temples. If you go up to the observation spot, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the gorge below. You can also see rickshaws of the olden times drawn by young people with smiling passengers on board. There are souvenir shops selling variety of goods and products. (2) Nijo-jo Castle (World Cultural Heritage Site) This castle was built in the early 17th century by the Tokugawa Shogunate government for the purpose of protecting the Kyoto Imperial Palace and as the accommodations when Tokugawa Shogun was in Kyoto. It was subsequently enlarged by successive Shogun. It is the castle as well as the palace, where you can see the powerful structures and beautiful gardens. You can learn, in addition, how great the power of Tokugawa Shogun was. (3) Kinkakuji temple (the Golden Pavilion) (World Cultural Heritage Site) The history of this temple began when the third Shogun of the Muromachi period acquired a tract of land in this area from a powerful statesman in 1397 and built a villa of his own to entertain the Emperor and members of the nobility. The upper two levels of the temple are covered with pieces of gold foil and are shining brilliantly against the background of the rich greenery. The pond in the foreground reflects the golden structure. It looks like the materialization of Pure Land of Buddha in this world. In addition, on the top of the golden structure is the shining phoenix.
