My tour with Kaori was an absolute highlight of my time in Japan! As a solo female traveler, finding a guide you feel entirely comfortable with is so important, and Kaori was a dream. Spending two full days together exploring both East and West Kyoto was the best decision I made. She showcased her deep knowledge of the city and her incredible navigation skills at every turn. Kaori is a wonderful, free-spirited, and exceptionally kind human. What truly set her apart was her ability to intuitively understand my preferences from our very first meeting, effortlessly adapting the itinerary on the fly to fit my style. Over our two days together, she shared fascinating insights, put her whole heart into making my experience worthwhile, and even picked out the perfect local restaurants for lunch. To top off an already perfect experience, she thoughtfully introduced me to amazake and treated me to a cup.

“Supercharged Kyoto and Nara with Kaori”

We spent two energized days with Kaori in Kyoto and Nara. She guided us around the tourists and shared cultural and historic insights at every destination. The Nara Deer Park and massive bronze Buddha were our favorite. We are sorry she cannot accompany us on the rest of our trip in Japan!

“A day in Kyoto with Kaori ”

We had a great day in Kyoto with Kaori and couldn't have asked for a better guide. From the very first contact she was prompt and her communication is excellent. She made a suggested itinerary which we then tailored together but there was no problem when we changed it a little on the day. We loved her sense of humor, her relaxed personality and her ability to pass on her knowledge of the sites we visited without overwhelming us while still learning so much about so many things and places. We used public transport to travel around which we appreciated as wanted to be more familiar with it and Kaori knew exactly where and when we needed to be without rushing us at any of the sites. She also took us to a restaurant away from the normal tourist areas for a delicious lunch, another of our requests. We would thoroughly recommend Kaori and are sure you would enjoy your time with her as we did.
