When you use ferry from Uji port of Okayama Prefecture, in 25 minutes a giant red pumpkin come into view through the early morning haze clinging to the dockside. Today, Naoshima island has become one of the brightest stars in Japan's contemporary art scene.
In Chischu Art Museum you appreciate "Open Field" designed by James TURRELL. It is an art as if it were sucked in the light. Other exhibits are 5 paintings of water lily by Claude MONET.

About Tour Guide Hideo Y.
Hello, I'm HIDEo YOSHIda. Please call me HIDEYOSHI, the same name as the famous shogun who built the Osaka Castle in 1585.
I was born in Kobe and worked in Osaka for nearly 40 years. I would like to introduce the Kansai region to you ,including Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Wakayama.
Kobe is one of the two largest ports in Japan, along with Yokohama. After the opening of the Port of Kobe in 1868, foreigners built their residences on the hillside of the Kitano-cho area, overlooking the ocean. Many of the foreign residences are now open to the public as museums, including the Weathercock House, with it's symbol weathercock on the triangle-shaped roof.
In Meriken Park, the red Port Tower (the city's landmark), creates a beautiful contrast against the white Kobe Marine Museum. The museum's design was inspired by the waves and sailing ships.
When you have a chance to visit Osaka, please join my tour. I'm sure you'll enjoy the interesting and historical, scenic spots. For example, Shin-Sekai is a downtown area with a strange mix of nostalgic atmosphere and contemporary energy. You can try local foods (kushikatsu, sushi, tempura) at a reasonable price. Billiken (a famous statue of the spirit of luck) will be waiting for you!!. Dotombori is a popular street with a lot of flashy signboards. Osaka is widely known as a "Kuidaore-no-machi", or literally "drinking and eating luxuriously to death." Osaka Castle was built by Toyotomi HIDEYOSHI in 1585. Oh, it's my residence, isn't it !
These days "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" area in USJ, or Universal Studios Japan, is also attracting more and more people.

“Hiroshima Tour”
We had a wonderful day with Hideo as our guide for one day in Hiroshima. He met us at our hotel and we spent the morning visit the sites impacted by the atomic bomb including the Dome building, Peace Park and Museum. Overall a very sobering experience. After lunch at a local sushi restaurant, we took the metro and ferry to the Itsukushima Shrine and Torii. It was low tide so you could walk up the base of the gate. We heading back to town and said our goodbyes at about 630 PM. Hideo was an excellent guide and I would not hesitate to use him for a future visit if the opportunity arises.

When we visited Miyajima, It was low tide. Next time when you come back to Japan, I promise I take you to Miyajima at high tide. I wish you and all your family good health and happiness.

I asked for a specific theme, typical buddhist and samurai life of old Japan and Hideo did not disappoint, from the timing even if there were a lot of tourist plus the changing of the leaves was even more perfect. I'm very happy to receive your excellent review. We visited 4 popular temples such as Sanjusangen-do, Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), Ginkakuji Temple (Silver Pavilion) and Eikando Temple. In particular we could see beautifully changing colors of autumn leaves. I'm sure you enjoy Japan trip!

“A beautiful day in Hiroshima”
We had a beautiful day in Hiroshima with Tateo. First we went to Miyashima Island. It was very großes because it was Saturday and a national Holiday. After that we visited the Hypocenter and Downtown Hiroshima. Made a short walk to the Museum. Thanks for this beautiful day.

Thank you for the excellent review. Yes, so many tourists visited Miyajima, so we didn't enter the shrine, but it was high tide and we could see the Great Vermillion shrine gate that looks like floating on the sea. Futhermore from the ferry, we saw oyster farming rafts on the Seto Inland Sea. I hope you enjoy Japan trip!

You can commands a panoramic view of Osaka city from the observatory. In Dotnobori you have popular Osaka local foods such as Okonomiyaki. Takoyaki, and Kushikatsu. Shin-Sekai is a downtown area with a strange mix of nostalgic atmosphere. We mainly use subway for about 820JPY and Your entrance fee is 600JPY/person.

Osaka : OLD & NEW Tour 6 hours
