About Tour Guide Ryoko T.
I was born and raised in Osaka, so I’m a true local! I love traveling—both around Japan and overseas—and discovering new places, cultures, and of course… delicious food!
In addition to being a guide, I also run my own office as a certified labor and social security attorney in Japan. Thanks to this professional background, you can feel assured that I’m a trustworthy and responsible guide who can flexibly arrange tours to fit your needs.
Before starting my own practice, I also worked as a tour conductor for domestic bus tours, traveling all around Japan for a year. This experience gave me the chance to visit many regions and learn how to take care of guests in different travel settings.
I can take you on food tours to hidden local bars and restaurants loved by Osakans, or guide you through Japan’s rich history with visits to shrines, temples, and castles. Whether you want to experience Osaka like a local foodie or dive into cultural traditions, I’ll create a tour that’s perfect for you.
I’m also a photography enthusiast, so you’ll get some great photos taken by me as a souvenir from our tour!
Let’s enjoy Osaka together—just like locals do!

“Ryoko Was a Wonderful Guide”
Ryoko was a wonderful guide, and we are very happy we booked two days in Osaka with her. We were four people, two couples, and from the very beginning she made the whole experience feel easy, warm, and well organized. She met us at our hotel and guided us beautifully through Osaka. Even though it rained on the first day, she adjusted everything smoothly and still made it a lovely experience. Thanks to her, we were able to see the main highlights of Osaka in two days without feeling rushed. We also wanted to experience Osaka through its food and local atmosphere, and Ryoko made that part especially memorable. We tried strawberry mochi, fluffy Osaka cheesecake, Osaka-style okonomiyaki, enjoyed a local restaurant where we grilled meat ourselves at the table, and she also took us to a small boutique sake bar, which was a really nice touch. What made the tour even more special were some of the fun and unique moments she included along the way. We visited the Japanese photo booth machines and had a lot of fun taking funny pictures together. At our request, she also reserved a cat café for us, where we could spend some relaxing time with the cats. To finish our two days in Osaka, we went to a sushi chain restaurant where we ordered on a tablet, and the sushi and beer arrived on a conveyor belt, which was such a fun experience. At Osaka Castle, she shared interesting history with us, including stories about the samurai, and throughout the tour she was always kind, thoughtful, and helpful. Ryoko is warm, professional, and truly knows Osaka well. She gave us not just a tour, but a very enjoyable and memorable experience. We would gladly recommend her to anyone visiting Osaka.

Hi thank you so much for this wonderful review. It reminds me the lovely two days that we spent together. I am so happy you really enjoyed the days, also I felt like I am the one who's traveling with you all together. You all were so nice, invited me all things especially taking pictures and videos in the group made me feel so special more than just a guide. I guess Diana wrote the review, thank you Diana. Also I had that chocolates with pumpkin seeds that Domen gave me, I appreciate that you all thought about me before we meet. It was extremely so nice of you. If I visit Slovenia, definitely I would love to come to your restaurant and say hi to you one day! Kind Regards, Ryoko

“Outstanding Tour Guide and Tour of Osaka”
Ryoko was an absolute delight. She was well prepared, organized, knowledgeable, and easy to chat with. We saw so many sights and wasted little time on extra transportation. Such a professional. I asked for help with arranging local reservations outside the tour and she helped me with that as well. I would book every city with her if I could- she was just wonderful.

Amazing experience retro and classic Japanese culture
You can experience the deep retro side of Osaka that you won't find in guidebooks or online! I'll take you on a tram to the largest shrine in the Kansai region. I'll also take you to a place where you can shop for knives and other traditional Japanese items! The highlight is a visit to a traditional Japanese izakaya. There, you'll be amazed by the Japanese food you've never tried before!

Tour of Osaka-jo Castle
(Highlights) The present castle building looks beautiful, powerful and in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment. However, it was the venue of hegemony, bloody conflicts and natural disasters for many centuries. Once you visit the castle, you will be amazed at the magnificent structures, huge moats and the beautiful natural environment. The view from the top of the eight-storied donjon is splendid. You can reach there either by going up the steep stairways or taking an elevator ride. The castle is in the heart and the landmark of Osaka city, where many modern buildings stand. (How to enjoy) You can enjoy a leisurely walk along the one-kilometer road leading to the castle after you get off the train and, once inside the precincts, you cannot spare even a moment without marveling at the sight of an ancient technology and human wisdom, as well as the huge rocks building up the protection walls. Not only seeing the buildings, you can also sit on the grass and enjoy having lunch with your family members or friends. (Others) The entrance fee is 600 yen per person and the JR Osaka Loop Line train fare is 300 yen for the ride from Osaka to Osaka-jo-koen station. The fare for the ride between Kyoto and Osaka, meanwhile, is 510 yen.
