Meeting Point
Your Hotel
- I will come pick you up at your hotel.
Osakajo-castle
Walk through the beautiful park/garden of the site while heading to the castle and learn about the history and how the foundation of modern Osaka was built.
The view from the top is fantastic!
You can also see gorgeous plum trees or Sakura flowers depending on the season!
Shitennoji-temple
Visiting the oldest temple in Japan, where Shinto and Buddhism first met. Built by Prince Shotoku in 593, this sacred place has been the spiritual heart of the Osaka people for over 1,400 years. Here, you can step away from the city's noise and feel the atmosphere of ancient Japan when Buddhism first arrived. The Five-Story Pagoda and the beautiful Buddhist statues are truly breathtaking!
Tsutenkaku area
Strolling around the iconic Tsutenkaku Tower and its surrounding area. Originally developed in the early 20th century as a symbol of Japan’s modernization, this district evolved into a working-class neighborhood after the war. Because it remained untouched by major redevelopment, it has preserved a unique 'Showa-era' retro atmosphere that has made it one of Osaka's most popular and nostalgic soul-food spots today!
Here, we can have lunch.
My recommendation is Kusikatsu (Deep Fried Skwears!)
Dotonbori area
Finally, we’ll wrap up our tour at the must-visit spot in Osaka Dotonbori! This area got its name from a merchant named 'Doton,' who developed the canal back in the 17th century. Later, it became a famous entertainment district filled with theaters, creating the foundation of the Dotonbori we see today.
Let's take some memorable photos together with the iconic Glico Running Man and the sparkling neon lights!

About Tour Guide Seiya S.
Hello, my name is Seiya, a local tour guide in the Kansai region.
I was born and raised in Osaka. Growing up in Osaka made me understand its culture, mindset, and people.
I also often travel overseas myself(Recent favourite is India!) and interact with local people, making me understand non-Japanese people's perspective on this country.
I am particularly interested in Japanese history, religion, and traditional culture. During my time living in Kyoto, I developed a strong curiosity about temples, shrines, and the ideas behind them, and I enjoy sharing these insights in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
I welcome questions and conversations, and I am happy to adjust the tour based on your interests and pace.
I am also a photographer, soI would be happy to photograph you with my beloved 35mm film camera.
Film photo has a nostalgic warmth, creating timeless photos that stay close to your heart!
Looking forward to seeing you soon!

I'll also take you to a place where you can shop for knives and other traditional Japanese items! The highlight is a visit to a traditional Japanese izakaya. There, you'll be amazed by the Japanese food you've never tried before!

Osaka, Spiritual Tour in Temple Town on Hilltop
Osaka dates back to the 6th century, when a national temple was constructed on a hilltop jutting out into the sea. In the Middle Ages, court nobles believed the “Pure Land of Buddha” was beyond the setting sun. They would watch the sunset from the hilltop. In the early 20th century, locals constructed a so-called “Paradise on Earth” at the foot of the hill, which was called “New World,” centered on the symbol tower named “Lead to Heaven Tower”
