I offer both morning or evening tours, however please note that many shops do not open until 10am and close around 6pm. Most restaurants open at 11:00 or 11:30 and close at around 22:00, while some of the restaurants open all night!

I'm Toichi. Please call me Ichi, which means No.1 in Japanese. Or you can remember it as 'itchy' Ichi.
Born and bred in Osaka, I would like to introduce you to this extremely diverse and interesting city.
I have travelled extensively around the globe, and I think one of the greatest pleasure of travelling abroad is meeting people who have different ways of lifestyle and thinking. Japan may not be an easy place for tourists to get to know its people. So, I hope to help you to get closer to meet real Japan and Japanese people.
I would like to show you how ordinary Japanese people live and think. And I am happy if you could have a day of unique cultural experiences which you can look back to in ten years' time!
“Unforgettable Kyoto Tour”
Ichi made our Kyoto walking tour truly special. He met us at our hotel, fully prepared and with a clear plan, and from there, the experience only got better. Ichi shared fascinating insights about Maikos and Geikos in Gion, taught us how to count in Japanese, and even treated us to some delicious sake! He also showed us how to make origami, adding a unique cultural touch that we’ll never forget. Ichi’s knowledge of hidden gems—like a secluded zen garden we had all to ourselves—made our visit feel exclusive and unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Hello Jeremy, Thank you very much for recommending my tour to others! I am glad to know you enjoyed the tour very much. I think this walking tour I created is very interesting even though a lot of walkings are involved. Hope you enjoed the rest of your trip in Japan, but I'm sure your daughters are very happy to see you back. After all, there's no place like Home! Maybe next time you can visit me in my hometown of Osaka!
“Phenomenal Guide”
We had a fantastic experience with Ichi/Toichi! Ichi is a rock star in every way! Very detailed and convenient, timely planning in places he took us to; as well as recommending great restaurants. He has a wealth of knowledge in history, also an extremely considerate and caring person. Ichi really took the time in planning to make sure we had the best experience and we ended up with 2 awesome fun filled days. We could not have asked for a better guide. Highly highly recommended!!!

Dear Ann, Thank you very very much for your awesome comments. I had a lovely two days with you and your swordman. I just finished today's job in Kyoto and drinking a beer alone under 4jo Bridge. I wish you were here with me. Oops, you don't drink. No fun then, lol. Anyway, I'll make sure to go to the restaurant you recommended! all the best, Ichi
“Exceptional day in Kyoto.”
Ichi provided a great introductory tour of Kyoto. He is incredibly friendly and has a deep knowledge of the city and its history, was very well prepared (even with visual aids) and adjusted the tour based on our interests. He took us to places few tourists have the opportunity to see as well as some major sites. Thanks for a great time!
