You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sado Island the whole day. You are going to visit Sado Gold Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can eat fresh food obtained from the sea and mountains near by for lunch. Go south to Yajima-Kyojima or Ogi Port and you can enjoy riding on Tarai-bune (wooden tub boat), which is unique to Sado. You can drop in at local sake brewery on your way back to the port. If you are lucky, you might be able to see Toki or crested ibis flying in the paddy fields .

- In case the guests come by boat, the guide will be holding a sheet with the guests' name on it at the passengers' exit gate of Ryotsu Terminal.

Oosado Skyline, a Scenic Driving Route, to Hakuundai Observation Deck

You can enjoy a bird's-eye view of Sado Island from the highest observation deck.

Sado Gold Mine

Sado Island Gold Mines were registered as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2024. Here you can observe the 400-year old mine and how miners worked deep underground in the Edo era. You will be overwhelmed by the magnificent view of Dohyu-no wareto (open-pit) mine

You can enjoy various types of local food you like. Both Japanese and Western cuisine are available.

Yajima-Kyojima Tarai-bune (Wooden Tub Boat) Riding

You can try riding on Tarai-bune (wooden tub boat) while enjoying the breathtaking view of Yajima-Kyojima. An experienced female captain will tell you how to row the boat and then you are invited to steer the boat by yourself. It will be your once-in a-lifetime opportunity.

Inclusions & Exclusions

What‘s included

・The guide's compact car (NISSAN NOTE) for up to 3 guests is available on Sado Island.

・The transportation on Sado Island including gasoline fee for the whole day is included in the guide fee when using my car.

What‘s not included

・For the group of more than 3 guests, my compact car is not available.

・The guide's transportation from the mainland to Sado Island is

￥9,000.

・Kindly cover the guide's entrance fees and meals during work.

・Lunch per person costs you between ￥1,100 and ￥3,000, depending on what to order.

・Admission to Sado Gold Mine is ￥1,500 for adults, ￥750 for children.

・Tarai-bune boat (wooden tub boat) ride tickets are ￥1,000 for adults, ￥500 for children.

Tour Important Information

* My compact car accommodates up to 3 guests. If the group consists of more than 3 guests, my car is not available.

* Please let me know in advance if you have any food allergies or other dietary restrictions.

* Oosado Skyline is open from May to October. Therefore, from November to April, you visit Tokinomori Park (Crested Ibis Forest Park) instead before going to Sado Gold Mine. Admission is ￥400 for adults, ￥100 for children.

Important message from the supplier

Basically I am available on weekends and Wednesday the whole day in 2026. I am also available on Monday before 12:00 and Friday after 13:00. Though I don't live in Sado Island but in Niigata (mainland) area now, I can guide you in Sado Island as well as in Niigata area. I also have a house on Sado Island.
