Hello, future guests!

My name is Ryoko. I was born and raised in Utsunomiya, near Nikko.

I’ve been lucky enough to visit many countries, and I love traveling and meeting new people. Now, I’m really happy to be able to share the beauty of Japan with visitors from all over the world.

I’ve been guiding in Nikko and Utsunomiya for over 10 years, and I can show you not only the famous sights but also local culture, food, and hidden gems. Beyond sightseeing, I also enjoy customizing trips to match your interests—like sake brewery visits, or a pottery tour and hands-on experience in Mashiko, the famous pottery town.

I’m looking forward to meeting you soon.

Ray, thank you very much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review despite your busy travel schedule. Your warm words encourage me to continue deepening my knowledge as a guide and to wholeheartedly guide visitors traveling in Japan. I believe that everyone I have guided, even just once, becomes a dear friend to me. I look forward to staying in touch with you. Thank you once again.

Amazing Nikko Tour with a Wonderful and Knowledgeable Guide

We had a fantastic tour in Nikko with Ryoko and can highly recommend her. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She explained the history and culture in a clear and engaging way, which made the tour both interesting and enjoyable. What we especially appreciated was how responsive and helpful she was before the tour. We contacted her very last minute, only one day in advance, after another tour provider suddenly canceled on us, and she replied extremely quickly and made everything work smoothly. One of the best parts was that during lunch and later in a café, we also had many interesting conversations about Japan, especially cultural differences and everyday life. Since Ryoko has traveled extensively around the world and knows many different countries, it was really fascinating to hear her perspectives and talk with her beyond the tour itself. Thank you again for such a wonderful day in Nikko!

Thank you very much for choosing my tour today, and for your wonderful review. I was also very impressed by your deep understanding of and respect for Japanese history and culture. It was a very meaningful experience for me as well to guide you and to hear about your country and culture. I believe that for a guide, it is very important not only to introduce one’s own country, but also to learn about other countries and perspectives. I learned a great deal from you too. I hope you continue to enjoy the rest of your journey in Japan. And if we have another opportunity someday, I hope we can meet again. Thank you again, and take care!
