Hello, future guests!
My name is Ryoko. I was born and raised in Utsunomiya, near Nikko.
I’ve been lucky enough to visit many countries, and I love traveling and meeting new people. Now, I’m really happy to be able to share the beauty of Japan with visitors from all over the world.
I’ve been guiding in Nikko and Utsunomiya for over 10 years, and I can show you not only the famous sights but also local culture, food, and hidden gems. Beyond sightseeing, I also enjoy customizing trips to match your interests—like sake brewery visits, or a pottery tour and hands-on experience in Mashiko, the famous pottery town.

“Ohhh Oya! And the majectic bamboo forest”
Its was a very interesting tour - we specially enjoyed the underground former rock quarry- it was amazing! Ryoko was very well versed with japan’s history and it was fun comparing Japanese culture and Philippine culture and history. She is a wealth of information about Japan! So lucky to have her as our guide

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. It was my pleasure to guide you in Utsunomiya on June 24th and in Nikko on June 25th. I’m very happy to hear that the underground former quarry in Oya left a strong impression on you on the first day. I also truly enjoyed sharing many conversations about Japanese history and culture, and learning together through the comparison with Philippine culture and history. It was a very meaningful experience for me as well. I also fondly remember the chestnut cake we enjoyed together at the stone café built from Oya stone—it was delicious. Thank you again for your kind words and encouragement. I sincerely appreciate it.

Thank you very much for your wonderful review of our second day together in Nikko on June 25th. Although it was a light rainy day, I was truly delighted that you described the weather as “liquid sunshine.” I’m very happy that you were able to enjoy the misty mountains and trees in such a beautiful and positive way. I also greatly appreciate your deep interest in Japanese history and culture, and your attentive engagement with my explanations. Receiving such warm words from you, who has traveled widely and experienced many guides around the world, is a great encouragement for me. I sincerely look forward to the day we may meet again. Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart.

“A must-do tour for Nikko”
Ryoko was extremely knowledgable about the deep history of Nikko and a great guide of the area. She was very accommodating and flexible in her tour as well. She even bought me an umbrella unprompted because it may have been a rainy day. A very nice guide who I must recommend to anybody wanting to see the best of Nikko.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review for me despite your busy travels. I truly appreciate it. Although the weather in Nikko was unfortunately unsettled at times, with sudden thunderstorms and showers, the mist-covered mountains after the rain created such breathtaking scenery, didn’t they? I believe Nikko is a truly beautiful place no matter how many times I visit. I am also very happy to hear that you genuinely enjoyed my tour. I would be delighted to guide your parents as well when they come to Japan someday. I look forward to seeing you again in the future.
