Private Mt.Fuji only for your group, starts/ends at Tokyo. Basic plan takes Express Train from Shinjuku to Kawaguchi-ko (one of the Fuji 5 Lakes). Transportation options are available upon your preferences. *Make an inquiry one month prior for train booking.

Car Option is recommended as public transportation at the destination is not good. If with public transportation, we might need to take a taxi occasionally to escape from too packed local buses. I'll support you to move smoothly.

- I'll meet you at your hotel in Tokyo 23 wards. Or, Shinjuku Station to take an express train to Mt.fuji area. Following itinerary is [ Basic Plan by Fuji Kaiyu Express Train ]. With Car Option, whole day could be the best flexible with more visiting spots.

Take FUJI EXCURSION express train (2H)

8:30 Shinjuku - 10:27 Kawaguchiko

FUJI KAIYUU (富士回遊 or FUJI EXCURSION) is all reserved seat Ltd Exp. train to Kawaguchi-ko Lake, which is one of the 5 Lakes of Mt.Fuji.

Make sure you book this tour enough in advance to secure seats for this train, because very popular due to its imitated seats. Will be booked out soon after sales start one month prior to ride. If train tickets were booked out, we go for express bus, or you may ask for Car Option.

Arriving in Mt.Fuji area ( Kawaguchi-ko Lake area )

Walk 15min to Kawaguchi-ko lake shore, or take a taxi (5min).

Kawaguchi-ko Lake Sightseeing (Basic Spots to visit)

Spot 1 - Arakurayama Sengen Park/Shrine (known as Chureito Pagoda)

We walk up 398 steps to observatory. Photogenic view of whole Mt.Fuji with red five-story pagoda. Very popular in cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons.

OR Mt.Fuji Panoramic Ropeway (3min to mountain top by ropeway) *This ropeway often has long waiting line (at peak season, 60-90min). We can hike up (some 1H) to the top if you like hiking.

I'll adjust itinerary accordingly.

Spot 2 - Kawaguchi-ko Boat cruise (20min)

Spot 3 - Oishi Park (Mt.Fuji view on the lake with seasonal flowers) & Hana Terrace (Many shops of sweet treats and souvenir made in Yamanashi, and Japanese crafts in the area full of plants and flowers.)

We can enjoy lunch around the Lake area. My recommendation is Houtou noodle, local speciality here. Thick wheat noodle with lots of vegetables in miso flavored soup.

(Car option) Saiko-lake area

The more quieter, serene area for further exploration.

・Saiko Lake - one of the Mt.Fuji Five lakes, located in west of the area.

・Saiko Iyashi-no-sato NENBA - a folk village facility with the site of old style thatched roof houses and traditional craft shops.

・Ice cave or Wind Cave + short Aokigahara forest trekking

Lake Saiko area is only available with car option, since it's far and public transportation takes too long and not frequent enough.

(Car/taxi option) Oshino Hakkai (Only by taxi or Car Option)

8 sacred ponds originate from snow melt water from Mt.Fuji. Used to be purification place for Mt.Fuji worshippers before climbing. We take a taxi to move between Oshino Hakkai to Kawaguchi-ko Lake shore (about 25min, 5,000yen/one way)

Originally from Shizuoka prefecture which has Mt.Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan. I took 2 working-holiday-visa stays in my younger days. I often spend multiple days with the same group to accommodate itinerary for multi days by including my seasonal favorites.

I often do Mt.Fuji or Hakone tour. In many cases, the locations are mixed up between Mt.Fuji Five Lakes area and Hakone area, which are not the same place. As a national government licensed guide, I've got deep knowledge of Japanese culture and history. But more than that, I really enjoy talking about the way of life with people from different cultures. “10 star experience! if you only do one thing - do the.”

If we could give 10 stars, we would. The Mt Fuji trip with Kaori (and her husband Ichiro) was the highlight of my wife and mine trip to Japan. When booking, I asked Kaori for very specific trip, and she tailored the day trip for us. Despite the weather (torrential rains), it turned out to be the best experience. The most important part – this did not feel like a tour – it felt like a couple showing another couple the place where they live (Kaori is from Mt. Fuji area) and giving us a personal view of their world.

“Kaori's Kamakura Tour Was Pure Magic — Don't Miss the Lantern Festival!”

We booked an 8-hour private tour to Kamakura with Kaori and it was hands down one of the best days of our trip! She took us to see the Great Buddha, which was even more impressive in person, then on to Hasedera Temple for some gorgeous views. One of our favorite stops was Houkoku-ji Temple — sitting in the bamboo grove sipping matcha was such a peaceful, magical experience. We took our time exploring everything without ever feeling rushed, and Kaori's knowledge of the history and culture made every stop so much richer. The best part? We stayed out until after dark to catch the Enoshima Island Toro Lantern Festival, and it was absolutely stunning — definitely a highlight we wouldn't have known about without her. Such a perfect mix of history, culture, food, and a little bit of magic. Highly recommend Kaori and this tour if you're headed to Kamakura!

“WELL PLANNED AND SAW SO MUCH”

Had such a great time exploring Tokyo with our guide, Kaori! She gave us a awesome overview of the city and clearly knew her stuff — history, culture, little details you'd never pick up on your own. We went to Asakusa and checked out some beautiful temples and shrines, wandered through Yanaka (such a cool, low-key neighborhood), strolled down Nakamise shopping street for souvenirs, and grabbed some amazing street food at Tsukiji Outer Market. Through it all she was so much fun to be around — funny, easy to talk to, and just genuinely smart about the city. Kaori made the whole day feel effortless. Highly recommend her if you're visiting Tokyo!
