In this tour, we will visit three of the most popular Mt. Fuji viewing spots.
My favorite part of this tour is when I take you to Arakurayama Sengen Park where we can have the most beautiful view of Mt. Fuji with five-story pagoda. I think this is the best place for Mt. Fuji viewing, but it is located in a little bit complicated place. So, I can take you here in the most efficient way.
At your hotel in Tokyo
Meet at your Hotel and move to Shinjuku by Subway.
The best Mt. Fuji viewing spot. You can take a picture of Mt. Fuji with five-story pagoda.
Please be noted that we have to climb up 398-steps stair.
Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway. At the height of 1,075 meters, you can see a panoramic view of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi.
Or enjoy Cruising at Lake Kawaguchi for about 20 minutes.
It’s a set of eight ponds with very pure snow melt water. You can take a picture of Mt.Fuji with traditional Japanese houses.
The above is the basic itinerary.
As my tour is so flexible, we can change our destinations to the following places when we can’t see Mt. Fuji due to a bad weather.
- Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum. You can enjoy several kinds of mini concerts.
- Ichiku Kubota Art Museum. You can appreciate a beautiful Kimono and Japanese garden.
- Fuji-Q Highland. An amusement park with many kinds of roller coasters.
- Oshino Ninja Village

Exciting Mt. Fuji - One Day Tour from Tokyo
“Mt. Fuji Tour”
The tour started with a 90 minute highway bus to get to the Mt. Fuji area. Hideaki had reserved the bus and the seats in advance. We first went to Arakurayama Sengen Park. This is a wonderful Mt. Fuji viewing spot. We were able to take family pictures of Mt. Fuji with a five-story pagoda. To get to this point we had to walk up 398 stairs. One of the members of our family got a bit tired/overheated along the way to the top and Hideaki stayed with him until he got to the top. The delay caused us to miss our scheduled train time to get to Lake Kawaguchi, where we were supposed to have lunch. This is where Hideaki really shined. We have severe food allergies/issues in our family and where we were, there were only two "restaurants". He spoke to the chef/owner of one of the restaurants about what the allergies were and they created a meal that was free of any of his allergens. It was one of the best meals we had all trip! We then took a train and went on a cruise on Lake Kawaguchi. After that we visited Oshino Hakkai where we had some more treats and purchased souvenirs, Of note, we purchased two HUGE Fuji Apples. Because, how could you not buy Fuji apples AT Mt. Fuji?!?! We also bought two peaches - which were probably the best peaches we've ever had! The highway bus took us back to the Bus Station, where our trip began. Hideaki was absolutely wonderful. Thoughtful, Knowledgeable and Flexible. Would highly recommend Hideaki and any tour he leads - especially this Mt. Fuji Tour!

(54 reviews)Sharon-san, Thank you very much for your review. I am very glad to know that you enjoyed the tour even though we weren’t able to see Mt. Fuji very well. I also enjoyed chatting with you and your family. Best Regards, Hideaki Murayama
“Great tour and amazing help!”
Hideaki did an amazing job not only showing us Hakone but also did an amazing job going above and beyond in helping us understand and buy our shinkansen tickets for the following day from Hakone to Kyoto. Getting to Hakone and then on to Kyoto via shinkansen was the part of our trip I was most worried about, but Hideaki made the trip to Hakone seamless and fun. We were lucky to be able to see Mt Fuji and the open-air museum was enchanting. Would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a tour guide in Tokyo for a day trip!

(54 reviews)Walter-san, Thank you very much for your review. We were so lucky that we could see the full view of Mt. Fuji, even though it was cloudy. Because clouds were higher than the mountain. It's very rare. Best Regards, Hideaki Murayama
