Meeting Point

Hotel pick-up (Tokyo & Kanagawa areas)

- If you prefer to meet on-site, the meeting location can be arranged separately. Detailed information will be provided via private message after your booking is confirmed.

08:00 AM

Yokohama Fish Market (Yokohama Central Wholesale Market)

Experience the daily routines of professional market workers and gain insights rarely accessible to visitors.

Enjoy ultra-fresh seafood, including sashimi served in traditional funamori (boat-style presentation), or try hearty meat dishes prepared for the market’s workers.

Small eateries also offer simple breakfasts and fresh coffee during break times.

A rare opportunity to experience authentic working port culture in Yokohama.

Legendary Cheesecake Factory (Gateau Yokohama)

Near the canal by the fish market, visit Gateau Yokohama, a small sweets factory run by a local market restaurant.

Their “Legendary Cheesecake” pairs perfectly with coffee, and factory purchases include a 10% discount.

The recipe is inspired by the once-disappeared Shirahama Cheesecake, which earned the nickname “phantom cheesecake” because it became so difficult to find. The recipe was eventually revived at Gateau Yokohama as the Yokohama Cheesecake.

In October 2003, the Nikkei newspaper featured this revival story and referred to it as the “Legendary Cheesecake.”

Today, both the original Shirahama Cheesecake and the Yokohama Cheesecake are available, each offering a unique flavor developed from the same original recipe.

This stop offers a sweet taste of Yokohama’s culinary history — and a delicious story to remember.

Yokohama Miyagawa Kozan Makuzu Museum

The Yokohama Miyagawa Kozan Makuzu Museum showcases the refined ceramic art of Miyagawa Kozan (1842–1916), also known internationally as Makuzu Kozan, a master of the Meiji era (1868–1912).

His Makuzu ware is renowned for its intricate relief designs, vivid glazes, and lifelike details.

After being exhibited at the 1873 Vienna World Exposition, his works gained international acclaim and helped introduce Japanese craftsmanship to the world.

The museum offers an intimate glimpse into Yokohama’s artistic heritage and Japan’s modernization period.
As the admission fee is 1,000 yen, I can include this stop in the tour upon request for guests who are interested in art and ceramics.

The museum is open only on weekends and is operated by a long-established Yokohama confectionery company as part of its contribution to local culture.

On weekdays, a special opening may be arranged for groups of seven or more with at least four days’ advance notice.

* Admission fee to Miyagawa Kozan Makuzu Museum (1,000 yen per person, if visited)

Cruising to Yokohama Minato Mirai

Relax on a 20-minute cruise from Yokohama Bay to Yamashita Park, taking in stunning views of the harbor and city skyline. See parts of the port usually hidden from everyday visitors.

If you prefer, you can also reach Minato Mirai by train.

Transportation may change depending on weather or your preferences, ensuring a comfortable and flexible experience.

Historic Port & Modern Waterfront Highlights

Walk along the iconic wooden deck of the Yokohama International Passenger Terminal (Ōsanbashi Pier) to enjoy panoramic harbor views.

Learn about the port’s international history and stroll through the vibrant waterfront, including Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, Japan Coast Guard Museum Yokohama, MARINE & WALK YOKOHAMA, Yokohama Overseas Migration Museum, and Yokohama Pukari Pier.
