“Two days that were beyond excellent!”
Our two days with Kahoko were terrific. She was well organized and gave us a great overview of Tokyo. She was incredibly responsive in helping us map out an intinerary of sites well in advance of our visit. We used public transportation which was fabulous. We left feeling that we really saw Tokyo. On top of that she was genuinely nice and caring and made sure we knew where we going when we left her. We enjoyed every single minute of being with her. Thank you Kahoko. We hope to come back and see you again!!

“Fantastic Day Out to Hakone”
Kahoko kept a watchful eye on the weather as we planned a day trip from Tokyo to Hakone. The day dawned with glorious sunshine. Kahoko arranged for her husband Michi to be our driver so we could have. flexibility for our touring. He was such nice company as well. He and my husband both love cars! With an early start we were able to see Mt. Fuji without clouds. We drove up winding mountain roads to a great viewing area with Fuji still visible with only a few clouds. The it was off to another delicious lunch, followed by a boat cruise. When the line for the ropeway was going to be a 90 minute wait, Kahoko made a quick change of plans and we were off to the Hakone open air sculpture museum which we really enjoyed. We had so much fun with Michi and Kahoko. What a fabulous day!

Thank you very much for another review!! You are too sweet. Even though there we some unexpected troubles, you were totally relaxed and cooperative. I really appreciate your tolerance. Also, I enjoyed every conversation with two of you, full of witness and intelligence. One regret was I failed understanding your husband's joke. I must work harder. I have a luck meeting you again. Until then, take care !

“Another GREAT Day with Kahoko”
Today was our 2nd day with lovely Kahoko. The weather was Grey and sometimes rainy so she arranged the day so we could be inside during the rain. We had a couple of hours in the National Museum which we thoroughly enjoyed. She made traveling on the metro seamless as we made our way to Shinjuku. My husband didn't know about Godzilla on the building so it was a fun surprise for him. After a delicious lunch (Kahoko picks great restaurants) we had fun visiting the food hall at Isetan department - Wow!! The rain has stopped so we visited the nearby Shinjuko Gyoen National Garden where we saw some of the first blooming cherry trees of the Sakura season. What a fun, interesting day with a fabulous, charming guide. We can't wait for tomorrow's tour

Thank you very much for another warm review ! Under the poor weather, guides cannot do almost anything. In my career, yesterday's tour was a memorable tour on rainy day. You have many magic tricks changing negative elements to positive ones. Thanks to you, I had such a wonderful day with you learning so many things. Thank you so much!!

Koichiro Y.
Hello! I’m Koichiro. Please call me “Yamasan”. It derives from my family name and my friends call me so. I worked for a machinery company as a project manager and engineer for mechanical and electrical construction projects both domestic and overseas for over 35 years. I recall my first overseas project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when I was 26, and the second was in Singapore. I visited many countries for surveys, meetings, commissioning, project handing over, and so on. In 2014 at the age of 60, I decided to retire from the company and live the expected further 30 years of life with a new career and experiences. I, then, studied translation and guide interpretation. I passed the national examination for licensed guides (English) in 2015 and registered with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in February 2016. Until now, I have been guiding many beautiful guests mainly to popular sightseeing spots such as Asakusa, Tsukiji, Omote-Sando, Meiji Jingu Shrine, and Tokyo Skytree, and also cultural experiences of Origami making, Furoshiki wrapping, and Sushi cooking. I am happy that I can freely arrange a customized tour together with you, or can propose my tours to you. I want to show you some parts of daily Tokyo life and introduce you to Bunkyo City which is located in the heart of Tokyo, just north of Chiyoda City where the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station are. The city is Tokyo’s typical residential and academic area where I was born, grew up, and live a happy life now. Now, we can tour around the world but have not yet overcome COVID-19 completely. Recently, the number of passengers wearing masks on public transportation in Tokyo reduced to some 25% but we should mind about it still. Please carry your mask to wear it where or when necessary (December 2024, Yamasan).

I’m so excited to have a chance to show you around my favorite spots in Kanagawa prefecture. I was born in Kanagawa. I spent my whole school life, including university, here in Kanagawa. I worked as a high school English teacher here for more than 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. I got my tour guide license in English in 2009. I am still an English teacher. To give an interesting and impressive lesson to young high school students, I’ve learnt and gathered many kinds of information. I also have a license to teach social studies, so I have a wide range of knowledge about Japanese culture and history. I’m sure to provide you an interesting tour.

Grant A.
Important note: I am currently not able to take new customers after the end of March, 2026. My name is Grant, and I’ve spent over a decade living and exploring Japan. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, I first came to Japan as a high school exchange student in Inuyama, a historic castle town in Aichi. My love for Japan began early—sparked by childhood games like Pokémon that were released in Japanese before English. That early curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for Japanese language, culture, and history. I hold an N2 on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, a degree in Asian Studies from a Tokyo university, and I graduated from the Japan Visual Media Translation Academy. I’ve visited all 47 prefectures and explored a wide range of historical sites, shrines, and castles throughout the country. My background in Japanese history helps me provide context that brings depth and meaning to the places we visit—whether it's understanding a centuries-old temple in Kyoto, the story behind a castle ruin, or uncovering the historical layers of a Tokyo neighborhood. If you’re planning to explore Tokyo, here are some tour options to consider: One day in Tokyo? The Ginza Line Tour offers a great introduction to the city’s highlights. Two days? Pair the East Tokyo Tour and West Tokyo Tour to get a well-rounded experience. Interested in anime? The Anime Tour is flexible and can be tailored to match your specific interests. For those looking to go beyond the city, I also offer day trips to Nikko, Kamakura, and other nearby destinations. Full-Day Tour: 40,000 yen (8 hours) Full-Day Tour Outside of Tokyo: 40,000 yen + transportation Feel free to get in touch to plan a tour that fits your interests and travel plans.
