Navigating Hakone's & Kamakura public transport means waiting in massive lines alongside hundreds of other tourists. A private car tour eliminates the transit bottleneck, letting you see the whole comfortably and effortlessly. I am an inbound certified tour guide who does immersive and comprehensive tours. My name is Tan & my Japanese name is Yuri (lily in English).I have been living in Japan since 2008. I have vast experience as a professional tour guide for a reputable bus tour company in Tokyo. I had tons of good reviews for Kamakura & Mount Fuji tours. I had seen Japan as a former foreigner's perspective. Thus, I know very well tourists' expectation to discover the hidden gems of Tokyo. “Excellent Tour Guide!”

We were visiting the Yokohama area from Southern California for a couple of days and wanted to take a day tour of Kamakura with all its Buddhist shrines and temples. Yuri Tan did a fantastic job with our tour. She understood our needs and paid attention to the pace we requested. She picked us up at our hotel in Yokohama and drove us to several shrines and temples. She gave us a detailed commentary about the history of the particular shrine and its relevance in medieval Japan. Great history lesson. She stayed in contact with us before our trip so we knew exactly when and where to meet. For lunch, she took us to a great little restaurant! I asked about where I could pick up a US to Japan AC adapter. She took care to stop for a store and waited while I went and picked up the adapter. Highly recommend Yuri Tan. She is punctual, pays attention to your specific needs and is overall very personable, easy to talk to and a great guide overall.

“Fun day in Tokyo”

My husband and I enjoyed a day’s touring with Tan before meeting up with our larger tour group the following day. With jet lag and a recent mobility issue hindering us, we fully appreciated the visiting little known yet special and off-the -beaten path sites by car with Tan at the wheel. We also feasted on wonderful food at one of Tan’s favorite restaurants. It was a great way to begin our time in Japan!
