The Carrot Tower
The Carrot Tower is a high-rise commercial building located in Sangenjaya, Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan. The 26th floor observation deck offers a view from 124 meters above ground. On the west side, you can see a panoramic view of western Tokyo, and depending on the season, you may even be able to see Mt. Fuji. On the east side, you can see the view of downtown Tokyo and Tokyo Tower. There are restaurant and cafe to cater for visitors
Gotokuji Temple (Maneki Neko 'Lucky Cat')
The Gotokuji temple is a very peculiar temple where hundreds of 'Maneki Neko' cat figurines filled up the surrounding of the small Kannon's temple (the Goddess of Mercy) Gotokuji temple is also a very nice place to unwind as it is embraced with lush greenery. All the 'Maneki Neko' here is right hand raised and I will tell you the difference between right & left hand raised of the lucky charm cats. If you are lucky, Tama the temple's live cat will approach you.
Setagaya Hachiman Shrine
Slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, is home to Setagaya Hachiman Shrine, which boasts over 900 year old history. Founded by Minamoto no Yoshiie and known as one of the top three sumo shrines in Edo, this shrine remains a central place of worship for the local community and a valuable cultural spot.
Inside the main shrine compound, there are smaller shrines such as Itsukushima Shrine features a beautiful small red wooden bridge over a pond filled with koi and sunbathing terrapin. There is also a sumo ring within its vicinity.
Kyodo Corty (lunch & shopping)
Kyodo Corty, located right next to Kyodo Station. It offers a full range of shopping, restaurants and cafes. After lunch, if you have a sweet tooth, let's enjoy the best 'Taiyaki' (fish-shaped waffle) in Tokyo at 'More Than Taiyaki, Ogura-An at Kyodo.
Kuhonbutsu Joshinji Temple
Kuhonbutsu means nine statues of Amida Buddha enshrined at the temple. Founded in 1678, a former site of Okusawa Castle given to the Tokugawa Shogunate. Thus, this temple's architecture and landscaping are as par as Kyoto's temples. It houses national treasures such seated wooden Amida Nyorai sculpture, a silk-based colored picture of the master Kaseki Shonin, and an old Buddhist temple bell. This temple has pond across from the dry landscape garden.
