Dear Roger, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review so quickly! It truly means a lot to me. After our tour yesterday, I hope you had a chance to enjoy the Hakodate Port Festival parade with some delicious Hokkaido beer! I imagine you’re enjoying Aomori by now. The Nebuta Festival tonight should be an unforgettable experience! Spending the day with you both was such a pleasure. From the moment we met until we said goodbye, I was surrounded by your kindness, warmth, and wonderful energy. Next time you visit Hakodate, I’d love to spend a whole day hiking Mt. Hakodate with you. Around 60% of Hokkaido’s native plant species can be found there, so I think you’d both really enjoy exploring it at a relaxed pace. Thank you again for choosing me as your guide. “Insights into much more than Hakodate's tourism highlights”
Our tour with Bobby was the highlight of our 3 days visit in Hakodate. More than just sharing her knowledge of the area where she lives and grew up, Bobby made us all feel very comfortable, as if we were in between old friends. Soon we ended up sharing our traveling at first, then our life experience, back and forth. It was deep and enlightening. She did a great job connecting well with myself, my wife (GenX) and our much younger son (GenZ). If you are interested by more than knowledge and anecdotes about places and history, going into the depth of culture and life experience in Japan versus your own, Bobby is your guide.
