My driver was Ohisa san. He was very friendly and patient even though we couldn’t speak English. He was accommodating and allowed for changes to the itinerary. He also went beyond the duties of a driver and helped us find restaurants and find souvenirs. Also taught us how to drink the soba broth at the end of the meal. I am very appreciative of Ohisa san

“Great trip around the Sanriku Coast”

Mr. Shimoeda was a wonderful driver and guide for us as we toured the Sanriku coast, visiting scenic historic spots as well as memorials and museums dedicated to the 3.11 tragedy. Be aware that in this area the drivers may not speak much English, so depending on your Japanese proficiency you might need to use Google Translate to communicate. However it was a joy to practice my Japanese with Mr. Shimoeda and we had a great day together.
