Our vacation time happened to align with Omizutori (お水取り). We reached out to Shogo for guided tour options. He was very responsive and informative. We planned an itenetary for the afternoon that included the Nara Park Deers, the middle gate, the great hall, the great Budha and Omizutori (お水取り). During the day he provided excellent commentary and a great since of humor for our party of 3. He waited with us for the ceremony to commence and continued commentary and conversation. Having taken care of all the planning, navigating, and logistics of the day, we were able to relax and completely take in the once in a lifetime experience. Thanks to Shogo as he made a great experience so much more enjoyable. Thank you sir.

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Miko for 3 days in Kyoto and Nara. She is a master of all the things you think about when preparing for a tour, mastery of the subject matter, flexible with scheduling, great communication, adaptable to the group and able to coordinate for the group’s needs. She is all of these things to be sure but mostly we found here to be genuine, kind and very easy to be talk with and learn from. Her knowledge of the local area and specific history both cultural and historic is excellent. If you’re looking for an English speaking guide she not only speaks excellent English, she teaches English in the local schools. I would absolutely recommend Miko for your tour in Kyoto, Nara area.
