Hakone Shrine is one of the best power spot Shrine in the East of Japan. It is said that the Shrine bring the power to people who plan to do business and daily life including good marriage, traffic safety, exorcism, prayer of school success , safe child birth and prosperous business so that everything is going smoothly.
This is the government (Shogunate in Edo era) checkpoint of Edo period. During the Edo era (17centry – 19centry), Japan was divided into feudal domains which were governed by Daimyo (feudal load). The Shogun(the top of Samurai worriers) had controlled all of those feudal loads by establishing the system obligation of Sankinkotai system. All of the feudal load had to live in Edo and on their own domains in alternate years with their wives and eldest sons be as hostages in Edo.
There were Several barriers in old Tokaido Highway connected Kyoto and Edo (current Tokyo) to check each feudal loads belongings and their wives prevent escaping from Edo. Hakone barrier was the most strict checkpoint place.

Main tour route: 8am departure at Hotel in Tokyo To move to Open air museum by riding on Hakone Tozan Railway -> 10:30am To enjoy Open air museum. (80min) To move to Gora park to enjoy there (60min).--> To ride on Hakone cable car from Gora-station to Sounzan-station (9min) and change riding to ropeway from Sounzan-station to Togendai-station (24 min). Then, to change riding on sightseeing boat (cruise) in Ashinoko-lake (40min). After getting off the boat, to move to Hakone-Shrine by walking (15min) and to do sight-seeking of the Shrine(45min). To move to Hakone-Sekisho by walking to enjoy the old ancient atmosphere of the road called " Tokaido in Edo era (17th - 19th century)/15min. To do sightseeking of Hakone-sekisho (45min).

I organised this tour on behalf of a teenager who is fascinated with the Yamato battleship so this tour had to be very customised and Kashima-San lived up to the challenge! The boy really enjoyed himself. The guide spoke good English, very polite and respectful and he was flexible with the schedule. We visited Yamato-museum where we could see the models (1/10) of Battleship named “Yamato” and lots of other ships and actual objects of submarine & airplane “Zero fighter plane”. Kashima-san organized the timing of the trip very well. Even there were situation where stayed longer than, he did an effort to change the timing of Shinkansen tickets and didn’t try to rush us. He well explained to us history of places we visit and patiently responded to all our questions.
