The highlights of this tour are the Atomic Bomb Dome and Miyajima. In the Peace Park and Peace Memorial Museum, you will learn that the atomic bomb deprived the citizens of Hiroshima of their future and feel the strength of the human race.
We will then head to Miyajima, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan. Enjoy the unique Itsukushima Shrine and Otorii floating on the sea, and the majestic Daisho-in Temple. For lunch, try Hiroshima's soul food okonomiyaki or delicious oysters.

My name is Miyu. I have been a Nationally Licensed Guide Interpreter since 2009. I began my career as a tourist guide last year after working as a public servant for nearly four decades.
I worked in the Atomic Bomb Survivors Support Division for 12 years until I retired from the local government, and I continue to interact with Hibakusha. Therefore, I have a lot of knowledge about A-bomb survivors, the reconstruction of Hiroshima, and the effects of radiation on the human body, which I can correctly convey to inbound visitors.
I have experience in tea ceremonies and calligraphy and am especially good at guiding visitors through tea ceremony experiences.
I love to watch baseball games, so I enjoy talking about them with guests from countries where they are popular.
I am a volunteer medical interpreter and can respond to visitors' sudden health problems.

“Miyu is Amazing!”
We had such a wonderful time at Miyajima Island with Miyu! She was on time and met us at our air b&b as stated in the guide itinerary. She is very knowledgeable about Hiroshima and Miyajima Island and truly made our day special and more interesting with her knowledge. She also found an amazing gluten free restaurant for lunch as I have an allergy, which took the stress out of us trying to figure out a place to eat. She listened to our prefernces and we adjusted most important as the day went on and we were running out of time (not bc of her, but bc we were lagging and lunch took longer). I highly recommend her for your tour and we are so thankful we had her to help us navigate our day in Miyajima. We loved Miyu and you should book her!

Thank you for your detailed and heartwarming review. Despite occasional heavy rain today, it was wonderful to see the 360-degree panoramic view from the summit of Mt. Misen. Spending the day with your adorable children made me happy. Please continue to enjoy your journey ahead.

“Incredible Experience ”
Our trip was perfect! She greeted us in the lobby of our hotel right on time and guided us on a train ride to the ferry station. She told us about herself and provided background on the area. She’s so knowledgeable and kind. Thank you, Miyu for making our trip to Miyajima Island so memorable.

Thank you for your kind comment. We were lucky with the weather and had a pleasant morning stroll around Miyajima. I hope you enjoyed watching a baseball game in Tokyo as well. Wishing you many wonderful memories during your time in Japan!

“Miyu is the most knowledgeable guide for Hiroshima ”
We highly recommend that you use Miyu for your tour of Hiroshima. She worked for the Hiroshima department for bomb survivors so she has a deeper insight than a typical guide. She had very good use of the English language and had actually traveled for her work to the United States several times to work with the victims. She was an extremely charming person, and we felt honored to have her as our guide.

Thanks so much for your kind words — they really mean a lot. I had such a great time with you fun sisters! I hope Hiroshima, with its amazing recovery from the atomic bombing, and the beautiful Japanese gardens stay in your memory forever.
