Hi! I’m a licensed guide living in Kagoshima. Please call me Miki ! Now I’m working as a guide and an interpreter. And I have a certificate for medical interpreter. I love to meet new people.
In my town Kagoshima, there are abundant nature and places where you can experience unique local culture. My favorite place is Mt. Sakurajima. It’s one of the best active volcanoes in the world. From observatories, you could feel its energy and, moreover if you are lucky, it will erupt in front of you!
If you are interested in history of Japan, here is the right place to visit because..... oops, I’ll tell you the story when we meet!!
I’m very flexible and cheerful. And I’m very happy to arrange a tour for you and customize it according to your request!! So please leave your message to me and feel free to ask me if you have any questions or specific requests before you come.
I’m looking forward to seeing you here Kagoshima!! Can’t wait!!

“6 hours of interest and fun in Kagoshima”
Mikiko-san provided a really interesting and fun afternoon and evening to my wife and I in Kagoshima. We visited the gardens and historical buildings at Sengan-en, unusual shops in the Tenmonkan shopping precinct, then ended at an izakaya. Mikiko-san has a great sense of humour, good knowledge, an easy pace and excellent English. I suppose we could have done it on our own, but really, our stress levels would have been higher, we wouldn't have been to as many interesting places, or have understood half as much of what we saw there. And we had a great time doing it! Mikiko-san is highly recommended.

“Kagoshima tour ”
We loved the tour in Kagoshima for our family of eight. Mikiko was so redponsive in helping us plan our day. Don’t miss this tour. It was raining the day of our tour but still had a great day.

Dear Judy, Thank you for the great review! I truly appreciate your cooperation in having a tour on rainy day. We couldn’t see Mt. Sakurajima clearly, but the rain makes the nature in Kagoshima special !! I hope you continuously have a great time during the family trip and bring lots of wonderful memories to your home!! Best regards, Mikiko

“Amazing guide”
We had a wonderful time with Mikiko, our day just flew by. She met us at the cruise port and we made our way to Mt Sakurajima. Her knowledge about the volcano was excellent. We have had many guides, but we have never had as personal connection as we did with Makiko. She was kind and warm. Her English is AMAZING! We were surprised to learn that she had learned some English in school, but perfected it by watching Netflix. Our day with Mikiko was one of the best on our trip to Japan.

Dear Marie, Thank you for the kind and heartwarming words! It means a lot to me. I really enjoyed the time with you two. Please come back to Kagoshima. There are more things to do here!! Until then, please stay safe and healthy^ ^ Best regards, Mikiko
