First, we go to Senganen Japanese Garden. There are a museum, a residence of local leaders built in the 19th century and its garden created in the 17th century. We can enjoy the view of the garden and history of Kagoshima. Also you can get to know how local leaders aren’t their time there. After visiting Senganen, we explore Tenmonkan downtown area for one hour and see traditional or local shops there. Hi! I’m a licensed guide living in Kagoshima. Please call me Miki ! Now I’m working as a guide and an interpreter. And I have a certificate for medical interpreter. I love to meet new people.
In my town Kagoshima, there are abundant nature and places where you can experience unique local culture. My favorite place is Mt. Sakurajima. It’s one of the best active volcanoes in the world. From observatories, you could feel its energy and, moreover if you are lucky, it will erupt in front of you!
If you are interested in history of Japan, here is the right place to visit because..... oops, I’ll tell you the story when we meet!!
I’m very flexible and cheerful. And I’m very happy to arrange a tour for you and customize it according to your request!! So please leave your message to me and feel free to ask me if you have any questions or specific requests before you come.
I’m looking forward to seeing you here Kagoshima!! Can’t wait!!

Kagoshima Highlight tour (Senganen garden & Mt. Sakurajima)
“An excellent day at Kagoshima”
My family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed our 6-hour tour with Miss Mikiko. We visited Sakurajima and Sengaen gardens. Ms Mikiko gave us lots of interesting information and also shared her personal anecdotes of how it was, living life close to an active volcano. She took us to a nice restaurant for a light lunch. Sakurajima is a fascinating volcano and Sengaen has such beautifully manicured gardens. It was a day well spent.

“Wow of A Day ”
Mikiko is a wonderful guide. Her personality is very warm and engaging. Her flexibility to make changes for her customers was great. Weather conditions on the day weren’t conducive to our planned day, hence plans modified to make a perfect day. We experienced a wonderful day of local Japanese Culture. Later on she kindly assisted me with our further planning in Japan.
