The natural steam sand bath
The natural steam sand baths in Ibusuki are something you would want to try at least once in your life. The sand warmed by the hot springs that naturally gush out from the earth on the coast covers your body and has a healing effect. It promotes sweating, which has great effects on revitalizing the body and beautifying the skin.
lunch at a restaurant rotating flowing noodles
Somen noodles are chilled in pure water that wells up from underground. Diners scoop the noodles from the stream and dip in soy sauce flavored sauce to eat. The unique table developed for flowing somen noodles has a tube running through it in which fresh groundwater is circulated. Enjoy eating somen noodles at your own pace.
Chiran Samurai residenses and gardens
Chiran Samurai Residence Complex Nicknamed the Little Kyoto of Satsuma, Chiran is home to more than 500 samurai residences during the late Edo period. As the original buildings of the complex are well preserved, one can get to witness a real Edo Period Samurai settlement here. The charm of the Chiran Samurai Residence Complex lies in the 700m stonewall-lined paths, the scattered Samurai houses and the beautifully landscaped gardens within. This is where the breath of history is still felt after more than 270 years.
Chiran Peace Museum
Chiran Peace Museum preserves and displays materials left by the deceased Army pilots of the unprecedented Tokko operation in Okinawa during the final moments of WW2. Tokko means Special Attack in Japanese and refers to a military tactic of ramming attack in which pilots crashed themselves and their aircrafts into enemy warships. Tokko is better known as Kamikaze internationally.

“Kagoshima Family Adventure ”
Hitomi was wonderful. She arranged a private taxi bus for the day to take us into Kagoshima from the port. She was very organized, and very knowledgeable. Her itinerary for us was perfect with the kimono and armor dressing, and we so enjoyed the soba noodle making and lunch! She made our stop in Kagoshima very memorable!

After that we preferred to do a green tea experience which was very fun , followed for the Kamikase museum and the Samurai Gardens . And the lunch was amazing !!! Steamed vegetables and three cut of beef . I can’t recommend enough to book a tour with Hitomi, she took care of every aspect of our tour including to book private transportation for the five of us .
