*I highly recommend renting bicycles but the tour can also be done by walking/public transportation* We will start the tour at Kamakura Station where we will pick up our bicycles so we can easily move through Kamakura and visit many beautiful places within our time together. The temples and shrines I recommend are: Engaku-ji, Hokoku-ji, Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu, Kotoku-in, Hase-Dera, and Zeniarai Benten Shrine. I will also show you a shop where you can buy genuine Japanese souvenirs if interested.

Meeting Point
Kamakura Station East Exit
- Kamakura Station has two exits, east and west. Simply exit the station at the "East Exit" which is clearly indicated from the moment you exit the train.
Engaku-ji
Big temple nestled in nature.
Hokoku-Ji
Picturesque temple known for its bamboo forest. Possibility to drink tasty green tea.
Hase-Dera
Beautiful temple with Japanese gardens, a cave, and views of the ocean.
Kotoku-In
Temple known for its big Buddha statue which you can even enter.

* If you want to do the tour on bicycles, which I recommend, it is better to apply far ahead. Then I can make a reservation for the bicycles so we are sure we won't miss out on the bicycles.
* This tour involves cycling, so you have to be able to do so.
* Even though this is a cycling tour, it also includes some walking, including stairs and such, so I advice to wear comfortable shoes.
