Join me to Japan's second largest city, and one of the first ports to open for foreign trade in 1859. It is a mix of hyper modern, history, and foreign influences. We will start in Minatomirai (Harbor of the future) and make our way to Yokohama Cosmo World where you could enjoy one of the rides like the Ferris wheel. Then we will check out the Red Brick Warehouse, Osanbashi Pier, Chinatown, and Noge. Noge, is an old-fashioned riverside nightlife hub with bars, vintage izakaya, and jazz clubs.

10:00 AM

Meeting Point

Grand Mall Park

- Grand Mall Park is a park located south-west of Minatomirai Station. It is easier to meet here instead of in the station itself. Depending on the date there might be an event to check out.

10:30 AM

Yokohama Cosmo World

Yokohama Cosmo World is a a free-admission, pay-per-ride urban amusement park in the Minato Mirai district of Yokohama. Some of the rides are the Ferris wheel, a roller coaster, a water coaster, and haunted houses.

11:30 AM

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse

At the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, you can shop for unique Yokohama-made crafts and souvenirs, dine at waterfront restaurants, relax on the grassy lawns of Red Brick Park, and enjoy seasonal outdoor festivals like the massive Oktoberfest or the winter Christmas Market. Browse roughly 60 boutique stores split between the two warehouses, featuring local clothing, craft chocolates, Japanese stationery, and souvenirs or grab a meal or coffee with a view.

01:00 PM

Osanbashi Pier

Osanbashi Pier is a spectacular architectural marvel featuring a wave-like, wooden rooftop plaza. The pier's unique architectural design mimics rolling waves, leading to sweeping grass and wooden deck spaces. It's a completely open, barrier-free space perfect for lounging. From the rooftop plaza, you can take in 360-degree views of the Yokohama Bay Bridge, Yamashita Park, and the iconic Minatomirai skyline.

02:00 PM

Yamashita Park

Yamashita Park is a 750 meter long seaside park in central Yokohama with Hikawa Maru, a historic 1930's ship, permanently docked in front. We can enjoy the park itself, the views, and possibly have a drink or snack on one of the benches to relax. Either way, it is en-route to the next stop.

02:30 PM

Yokohama Chinatown (Yokohama Chūkagai)

Yokohama Chinatown is the largest Chinatown in Japan and all of East Asia. The bustling area features hundreds of restaurants and shops to enjoy. From all-you-can-eat courses to small street food snacks there is something for everybody to enjoy.

04:00 PM

Noge (Golden Gai of Yokohama)

Because of its retro, Showa-era charm, dense concentration of over 600 tiny bars and eateries, and maze-like streets, it is also widely known as the "Golden Gai of Yokohama". Depending on what time we will arrive here it is the perfect place to have dinner and drinks. It is still relatively local compared to the places in central Tokyo and it is guaranteed to have a fun time in this neighborhood.

About Tour Guide Mark K.

I have been a fan of Japan since a very young age and decided to study International Business so I could experience living here for a year. I came back for more many times and decided I want to live here as long as I can. After spending 3-4 years in Tokyo it was only natural for me to share this wonderful place with other people!
