At Kitakamakura station

- Kitakamakura station is one stop before Kamakura station. It is easy to get. I can pick you up at your hotel in Tokyo if you want to. But in this case I have to ask you one-hour guide fee:5000 yen, because it is one-hour train ride from Tokyo

Engaku-ji temple

the second highest rank Zen temple built in the 13th century, which is also full of cherry blossoms in spring.

Tokei-ji temple

One of the two Michelin Green Guide Japan 3 star in Kamakura. 'Kakekomi-dera' where abused wives were saved after running into this nunnery.

One of the 7 ancient passes in Kamakura. It's a little wild and steep but you can feel ancient atmosphere here.

About Tour Guide Kaneo U.

I’m so excited to have a chance to show you around my favorite spots in Kanagawa prefecture. I was born in Kanagawa. I spent my whole school life, including university, here in Kanagawa. I worked as a high school English teacher here for more than 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama.

I got my tour guide license in English in 2009. I am still an English teacher. To give an interesting and impressive lesson to young high school students, I’ve learnt and gathered many kinds of information. “Kaneo's excellent”

We worked with Kaneo to pick us up at our Tokyo hotel and help us navigate the 3 trains necessary to get to Hakone. It was a little more money, but much less stress. He had been very flexible in working with us to tailor his standard tour option to our circumstances, and his knowledge about the time and effort to do what we wanted was very helpful. We also had a chance to visit a woodworking craftsman's workshop at the end of the tour, and ended up buying a wonderful woodcut of Mt Fuji which now hangs on our wall. Highly recommended!

“Amazing guide”

We booked Kaneo for 2 days to start our trip to Japan. He did a great job showing us a combination of historical sites and modern Tokyo. The lunch spots he picked for us were great and his organization of each day was perfect.
