Engaku-ji: the second highest rank Zen temple built in the 13th century. You can taste Japanese traditional tea, Maccha here.
Tokei-ji:aka 'Kakekomi-dera' where abused wives were saved after running into this nunnery.
Kencho-ji: the highest rank Zen temple built in 1253. You can enjoy seeing a very beautiful Japanese garden here.
Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu:Main shrine built by Minamoto Yoritomo in 1180.
Komachi-dori: Shopping street. You can eat many kinds of Japanese food and buy good souvenirs.
Hase-dera: Famous its 11-headed Kannon statue. Its beautiful garden is also famous.
Daibutsu: 11 meters in height and weighing over 100 ton Great Buddha is located in Kotoku-in garden. One of the symbolic spots in Kamakura.

To enjoy Kamakura tour, you had better walk. In this tour you will walk about one hour intermittently. I advise you to wear walking shoes.
This tour is a bit of rapid one. So if you want to spend more time at a certain spot than I expected, we may change the schedule a bit.

About Tour Guide Kaneo U.
I’m so excited to have a chance to show you around my favorite spots in Kanagawa prefecture. I was born in Kanagawa. I spent my whole school life, including university, here in Kanagawa. I worked as a high school English teacher here for 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama.
I got my tour guide license in English in 2009. I am still an English teacher. To give an interesting and impressive lesson to young high school students, I’ve learnt and gathered many kinds of information. I also have a license to teach social studies, so I have a wide range of knowledge about Japanese culture and history. I’m sure to provide you an interesting tour.

Mr. Kaneo Uetake was a terrific guide - before, during, and after our scheduled time together. He proposed and adapted an itinerary in response to our interests in advance with timely and thorough responses. Kaneo was full of historical and cultural insights. His energy through a long day and thoughtful reassessment of our needs during the day was appreciated. We enjoyed our time together. He was very timely and organized. He also helped navigate a few questions about transportation and key sites to see during the rest of our travels in Japan. He went above and beyond! Highly recommend.

“An informative, excellent tour of Tokyo”
Kaneo was the perfect guide during our first day in Tokyo. It was our first time to Tokyo, and requested he help show us various things such as the bus system, shopping areas, etc. he did a great job working all of our requests into his tour, and also showed us many beautiful shrines and landmarks around the city. He has deep knowledge around the city’s history, which added a lot to the tour. Thanks again for a great tour!

“Very Kind and Knowledgeable Guide”
We have booked Kaneo for three days. Two in Tokyo and one in Hakone. Kaneo was very accommodating and knew where to take us in Tokyo. As you know, there Tokyo is full of things to do, and he managed to edit the sites so that it was manageable. The tours were very informative and he gave a lot of thought as to where we would most enjoy going to. On top of all that, he helped pick out a restaurant and made dinner reservations for us during our last evening in Tokyo. In Hakone, he showed us the many sites there, and we got to see the locations that make Hakone truly picturesque and unique. In all, Kaneo was an excellent tour guide, and he was very attuned to the needs of his tour group. I highly recommend his services. Mari
