Tokyo Bay Adventure: Bird’s-Eye Views from Umi Hotaru with a Licensed Guide
Umi Hotaru (Sea Firefly) is a large artificial island on the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line linking Chiba Prefecture and Kawasaki. From this unique sea rest area, you can enjoy open views in the middle of the bay. One of Chiba’s specialties is a premium peanut variety called Q-nuts, named after the letter Q, which follows P. The island takes its name from a tiny bioluminescent sea creature, first described in 1890 by German scientist Gustav Wilhelm Müller.
