JR Kyoto Station (Kyoto Tourist Information Center, Kyo Navi)

09:10 AM

We go to Fushimi Inari Shrine by JR.

09:20 AM

Fushimi Inari Shrine (Entrance : Free)

Fushimi Inari Shrine is the very popular and crowded place and it is better to go there first. This shrine was originally founded about 1,300 years ago as the god of good harvest of rice and today's benefit is the success in business.

There are many orange gates (Torii gates) in this shrine, and these gates were donated by the merchants and the business owners to hope for the success in business. The highlight is 1,000 orange gates and it is very thrilling to go through these gates.

10:10 AM

We go to Kiyomizudera by JR & bus.

11:00 AM

Kiyomizudera Temple (Entrance : JY500/adult)

There are 17 World Heritage (UNESCO) Sites in Kyoto and this temple is one of them. This temple was originally built about 1,300 years ago and unfortunaltely burned down many times.

Today' temple was built about 400 years ago.

This temple is located along the slope of the mountain. The highlight of this temple is the big stage commanding a splended view of Kyoto City.

We are impressed by this panoramic view.

We go to Gion District by bus or walk.

12:10 PM

You can choose the restaurant. Retaurants in other places than Gion will be available. (Approx. JY 1,500 too 2,000/adult)

12:50 PM

Gion District (Enatrance : Free)

Gion District is the town of Geisha.

Geisha entertain guests with the traditional dance & song.

The houses where Geisha enttertain guests are old style Japanese buildings. Doors, windows and fences are made of wooded lattice. The roads are paved with natural stones. This townscape is of great taste to walk.

01:30 PM

We go to Golden (Kinkakuji) Temple by bus & metro & bus.

02:00 PM

Golden (Kinkakuji) Temple (Entrance : JY500/adult)

Golden temple is also one of World Heritage (UNESCO) Sites.

This temple was built by the powerful shogun to receive guests about 650 years ago. Gold is the symbol of power and wealth.

He must have shown off his power and wealth to his guests.

The glittering building floating on the pond is really splendid.

Bamboos are naturally growing for a long time.

There are many products made of bamboos in Japan, such as bamboo fences and tea whisks etc. Japanese like the texture of bamboo.

Also, Japanese like bamboo shoots very much. They are integral item in the side menu of Japanese style food.

We can walk through these bamboos and this view is breathtaking.

In addition to bamboo forest, there are many popular sites in this area.

About Tour Guide Haru Y.

Hello, I am Haruhiko.

I was born in the year 1957 in Hyogo and was brought up there before entering the university.

I graduated from university in Osaka. After graduating the university, I worked as international sales people for about 45 years.

My job was to go to foreign countries and sell our products to foreign customers.

I went to about 20 countiries about 200 times.

Throught these business trips, I talked much with lots of foreign people not only about business matters but also private and other matters. I have found it will make my experiences wider and make my knolwdge deeperto talk with people with different culture, hisotry and backgound.

My hobby is to go to Buddhism temples, Shinto Shrines & Castles and to learn about culture & history of this country. I began to think that how it is interesting to introduce them to foreign people.

I got the License of Guide Interpreter (English) and began to guide in the year 2022.

My favorite area of guide is Kansai area such as Kyoto, Nara Osaka & Hyogo.

I have guided these areas about 500 times.

If you have a chance to come to Kansai Area, why doon't you join my area !!

I am looking forward to seeing you.

Thank you.
