Meeting Point
JR Kyoto Station
- Let’s meet up the north entrance where we can see Kyoto Tower
Kyoto station bus terminal
We will get on Kyoto City bus to Sennyuji-Michi. It would take 10 minutes and 230 JPN Yen per person
Sen-nyu-ji or Unryu-in
From Sen-nyu-ji bus stop we will walk 10 minutes to its entrance. Sen-nyu-ji has been deeply related with Japanese imperial family, its assets like emperor’s seat, imperial mausoleum, you can enjoy Japanese traditional garden with seasonal flowers. Un-Ryu-ji has also beautiful garden. You can relax sitting in tatami mats, you can enjoy many different shapes of Shoji window with seasonal flowers. You need 500 JPN Yen plus 500 Yen for Gozasho special entrance by cash in Sen-nyu-ji or 400 JPN Yen by cash in Unryu-in. Please make sure Un-Ryu-in is closed on Wednesday.
FromKeihan Tofuku-ji station to Keihan Demachi-yanagi
From Sen-nyu-ji we will walk to Tofuku-ji station for 10 minutes and get on Keihan train to Demachi-Yanagi terminal for 10 minutes. It would cost 300 JPN Yen per person.
Shimogamo Shinto Shrine
From Demachi-Yanagi station to Shimogamo Shinto shrine we will walk for 10 minutes. Along its approach street it has over 3000-year-old primitive forest called Tadashi-no-Mori where you can see its dim light and relax while walking. In its precinct you can visit Kawai shrine for making women more attractive and shrine for rugby games.
From Eizan Demachi-Yanagi to Ichijoji
It would take 10 minutes and 220 JPN Yen per person by Eizan tram.
Ichijoji ramen Kaido street
Lunch! There are many kinds of ramen restaurants expert ramen chefs prepare carefully delicious dashi stock, flavor, delicately cooked ingredients like edible bamboos, chashu pork slices. I hope you enjoy it a lot there!
Shisendo or Enkoji
In Shisendo it used to be a residence of samurai warrior active in the 17th century.
It has two pretty Jizo children-guardian statue which are really photogenic with green moss and you can take instagrammable pictures with tatami mats, green beautiful garden. Enkoji has only stone and pebbles made Japanese traditional garden expressing nature called Kate-san-su and quiet bamboo forest.
In Shisendo 700 YEN for adult, 500 Yen for high school students and 300 Yen for elementary and junior high school students are needed. In Enkoji basically 800 Yen for adult and 500 Yen for from 18 to 6 years old are necessary, but it changes depending on cherry blossom and red leaves seasons!
From Ichijoji-kudari-Machi bus stop to Shijo Kawaramachi
We will use Kyoto City Bus for about 20 minutes. It will cost 230 JPN Yen per person
