Did you know that the famous Fushimi Inari is not just a shrine? It is build on a holy mountain with thousands of red torii gates spread along the hiking trails!
In this tour I want to show you some secret walks, where you have a view of the many beautiful red shrine gates without the tourist crowds while also enjoying the nature. It is an easy 3-hour-hike!

As a local guide, I know Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara very well. I love showing both the famous highlights and the smaller hidden spots that most visitors don’t get to see.
I design custom tours for individuals and groups, whether you’d like to explore Kyoto’s temples and gardens, Osaka’s lively neighborhoods, or Nara’s peaceful parks and friendly deer. Along the way, I share stories, history, and insights to help you experience these places more deeply.

“Best of Kyoto with Yuta”
Yuta was an amazing guide! He picked us up at our hotel and was so personable and friendly. He asked us what we were most interested in seeing and arranged the tour according to our top choices. During our tour it briefly rained and Yuta magically had umbrellas for us!! He took great pictures of our family and engaged with our kids who also greatly enjoyed the tour. 6 hours flew by!! Kyoto: Bamboo, Mountains and Markets [8 hours]
The tranquility of a meticulously maintained bamboo forest, a mountain shrine with vibrant red torii gates, and a breathtaking view of the city from a mountaintop temple. In this adventure we will explore the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, visit the Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine, and wander through the Tofuku-ji temple (especially beautiful in Fall or Spring). Later, we check out Kiyomizu-dera and walk through Yasaka Shrine, Gion, Shirakawa Lane, Pontocho, Teramachi, and over to the Nishiki Market.
