This is a one-day efficient tour that uses public transportation to visit Kyoto's famous tourist spots. This tour will take you to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, the Bamboo Forest, Tenryu-ji Temple, Togetsukyo Bridge, Ryoan-ji Temple, and Kinkaku-ji Temple.

Meeting Point
At your hotel or JR Kyoto station
- At the lobby of your hotel. We take a taxi or bus to JR Kyoto station depending on where you stay.
Fushimi Inari Shrine
Over 5000 vibrant orange torii gates that wind through the hills behind Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine makes it one of the most popular shrines in Japan.
Bamboo forest
The Arashiyama Bamboo Grove is one of Kyoto's top sights. Standing amid these soaring stalks of bamboo is like being in another world.
Tenryuji temple or Monkey park
Registered as a World Heritage Site, you can experience the beauty of Japanese gardens throughout the seasons.
Alternatively, you can go to Iwatayama monkey park.
Togetsukyo bridge
Togetsu-kyo is famous central landmark of Arashiyama. There are many small shops nearby, you can enjoy shopping too.
Lunch
There are many restaurants in Arashiyama.

Ryoanji temple
Ryoanji Temple Rock Garden is one of Kyoto's most famous gardens. So famous, in fact, that the name has become synonymous with Japanese rock gardens.
Kinkakuji temple
The most famous temple registered as a World Heritage Site is Kinkakuji known as temple of the Golden Pavilion. If you don't visit it, you can not say that you have been to Kyoto.

“Jam packed Kyoto day trip”
Thanks to Fumi for a very fun Kyoto day trip. It was a super busy day but Fumi altered the plans as needed to accomodate the crowds and 2 children with us. Highly recommended and we couldn’t have seen everything we wanted in the short time we had without her.

“A very full one day introduction to Kyoto”
We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Yumi in Kyoto. We were only there for a short time but Yumi made every moment count. We walked, talked, asked many questions and enjoyed a fine meal together. The city is large so we did take taxis to many sites so you need to add those costs to the price of the tour but there is no way to have seen and done as much without transportation. Yumi is a delight. Highly recommended.

“Wonderful rainy day in Kyoto”
Just finished a whole day tour of Kyoto’s main attractions. It’s still raining…..but although we were not lucky with the weather we were extremely lucky with our guide Fumi (who also speaks Spanish very fluently). We were well versed on the essentials and she helped us colour the rest. She helped to satiate our curiosity at all times making great links in the conversation with how Japan has changed and not through time. Thank you very much Fumi for a wonderful experience.

One day tour in Kyoto (Arashiyama area)
Tour will start from the Hotel in Kyoto. Frst visit is Kinkakuji temple (Golden Pavillion ),then, to Ryoanji tmple where is famous for rock garden. Tour will stop at Arasiyama area to take lunch and visit Togetsu bridge, Bamboo grove, Tentyuji temple and others. The last visit is NIjyo castle. As these places are normally crowded. using chartered taxi is highly recommended in order to effectively use your valuable time in Kyoto.

Arashiyama is the hottest tourist destination. It is incredibly beautiful in spring and fall because of its cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. In the fall, the leaves turn brown or red! In the outstanding Tenryuji, you will see a beautiful garden with beautiful mountains in the background. There are many other beautiful places with touching stories in this area. On the way back to downtown, we can visit two world heritage sites, Kinkakuji and Ryoanji. What a wonderful route!
