I visited Kyoto with my family on 19th December for 3 days and on the first day we had a full tour with Tanaka San. He was very informative with his detailed documents of Japanese history in Kyoto. Tanaka san is very kind and you can pretty much have a conversation with him about anything. Next time when I visit Kyoto I hope to meet him in person again. If you are coming to Kyoto and needed a tour guide then Tanaka san is your go to guide. I will share a personal story, during the tour my foot was hurting because of my shoe was squeezing my toes. Tanaka took me shopping at a local store and still we managed to have time to see the all the itinerary spots. Highly recommended!! Okada Khorn
Hi Mr Okada san ! It is my pleasure to have received your comments for the tour and I am happy to have had tour time with your family It is lucky to have found suitable shoes for you at local shopping center. I wish if I have a chance to guide you again in Kyoto and so on. Regards Eric Tanaka
Eric is a very friendly, nice and knowledgeable guide who speaks simple English! He shared a lot of history abt Kyoto. He even printed out and shared handouts containing information about Kyoto. He brought us to a popular omu rice eatery for lunch. Eric constantly looked for seats for us on the bus and train. He brought us to the famous Arashiyama bamboo grove, Kinkaku-ji, Fushimi Inari Shrine and Tofukuji Temple. Overall it was an amazing experience with guide Eric!
Mr. Ee Ling T Thank you for your review for the tour. I am happy to meet your family and it is my pleasure to guide you today. At your next opportunity, please contact with me, Best Regards Eric Tanaka
Eric was very informative! He gave each of us a printout of the history of the places we would be visiting on our tour . He was fun , kind and knew all of the shortcuts ! Highly recommend!! ??
My group of 5 from the US toured Kyoto with Eric - from start to finish, we had such a great experience and would definitely book him again when I’m back. He was so knowledgeable, giving us little insights and gems everywhere along the way. Since he grew up in Kyoto, he was exactly the guide we were looking for. His English is strong too. He was so willing to take care of us, from helping select the best place for our open tour option, to picking a great lunch spot with our group’s varying dietary needs, to dropping us at a desired location at the end. He even walked us through the process when we needed to leave and be on our own. His personality is energetic and engaging, and it was evident he loves what he does. We saw the major sites, plus more. A must-do tour in Kyoto with the best guide!!
