Yasaka 5 story pagoda
The oldest story.pagoda
Kiyomizu temple
One of the UNESCO heritage site.
It is on the mountain, so you can see the view of Kyoto from there.
From Kiyomuzu temple we walk down to Gion through Yasaka pagoda and Yasaka shrine.
Golden pavillion
One of the UNESCO world heritage site.
It used to be a part of the Shogun's residential house.
After he died, it became a Zen temple.
One of the buildings is covered with gold leaves.

Kiyomizu temple is on the mountain. So we walk a lot.
And mostly we use buses and subways.
If you get tired and save the time, you can use taxis.

Monkey park, Bamboo grove and Golden Pavilion
We visit the bamboo forest area, where we explore the Bamboo Grove, the Monkey Park, and Tenryuji Temple. After that, we visit the Golden Pavilion, also known as Kinkakuji Temple. We will travel by public transportation from the station closest to your hotel in Kyoto.

Kyoto, Hike in Peaceful Forest & Temple
Experience the charm of tranquility in a mountain temple. Take a 3km walk around the foothills of the Higashiyama Mountain Range, visiting shrines and temples along the path. Starting at Seikanji Temple on Mt. Kiyomizu (242m height), follow the Uta-no-Nakayama Road to Kiyomizu-dera. Then, go through Sanneizaka and Nene-no-michi, and reach Maruyama Park and Yasaka Shrine.
