I'll take you to wonderful vegan food spots as well as
highlights of Nagano. You'll learn tips of how you can eat vegan and healthy in Japan. Japanese food is an UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage and Nagano is famous for local food culture.
I, myself, have been vegan for 15yrs and grew up in Nagano. You'll tell you all about food culture here and teke you to to only-locals-know spots and must-see-spots .

You'll get inspired by the beauty of 1400yrs old temple.
If the timing is right, we can watch a fire ceremony
which monks chant and beat drums.
Take a stroll in old part of Nagano
It is fun to go on the quiet back streets and full of discoveries,
where you would not have found it without a guide.

200yrs old Sake brewery
You'll learn how Sake is made in the facility tour,
and enjoy sampling variety of Sake and non-alcoholic drinks,
pickled vegetables in Sake and Miso soup.
Learning a bit about Sake brings you more joy into your cooking
and Japanese food experience.

Local speciality Oyaki dumpling place
Watch local grandmas bake dumplings over wood fire,
and enjoy famous Oyaki! I'll take you to the most authentic Oyaki place!

“A day of enjoyment in Nagano”
My family had a wonderful day visiting Nagano. The snow monkey park was so enjoyable and the hike from the park was beautiful. We enjoyed eating the traditional dumplings from this area, as well as the sake brewery tasting and the beautiful temple. Erin was very nice and informative and made the day very nice. Definitely a doable day trip from Tokyo using the Shinkansen. Oh and the apples and apple juice from this area is so delicious.

Kamikochi Nature Tour
We'll enjoy an easy hike in Kamikochi. It is 75mins walk along the creek from Taisyoike pond to Kappabashi, admiring diversity of nature and serenity being away from big cities. No private vehicles are allowed to enter Kamikochi. For your comfort We take a taxi from and to Kamikochi. Taxi fare(Around 40000yen) is not included to the tour fee, and payable to the driver.

Zenkoji-temple (and Kimono Experience [option])
Zenkoji-temple is one of the most famous landmark in Nagano region. Founded approx. 1,400 years ago, this temple has been loved by common people since its' independence from a certain religion. So, you can pray without hesitation. You can take a small adventure of walking through dark underground corridor beneath the main image of Amida Triad sharering one halo located at the main hall of the temple. If you would like to wear Japanese traditional Kimonos, you can rent them from a shop nearby.

OBUSE: the Town of Chestnuts, Hokusai Ukiyo-e and Open Gardens
Obuse town is the smallest town in Nagano-pref. Obuse chestnuts have 600 years' history and provide us delicious chestnut sweets. This town is also famous that both the Ukiyo-e master Katsushika Hokusai and the poet Kobayashi Issa created numerous works. Many beautiful flowers and open gardens welcome you.

A world-famous ukiyoe painter Hokusai (1760-1849) stayed in Obuse and made his works in his later years. In Obuse Hokusai Museum, you'll encounter not only his ukiyoe woodblock printings but also his original handwritings you cannot see elsewhere. Akso, Obuse is well-known for its chestnuts.
