Take an express train fo 45mins, admiring the view of the countryside, then transfer to the bus /taxi for 10mins ride
Entrance of the trail to the monkey park
We'll enjoy walking on forest train for 35mins.
Nice to get away to nature.
Snow Monkey Park
It is a magical experience to be very close to wild creatures.
We can usually see monkeys in the bath in cold seasons,
and adorable new-born babies in green season.

Touch healing Buddha.
200yrs old Sake brewery(For non-drinkers I can substitute with local food place)

Tour Important Information
*The trail is slippery with snow and ice in winter. It is a MUST to wear a non slippery shoes.
*There are times that the monkeys are absent from the park. In that case I will provide an alternative options.
*In winter we usually see the Snow Monkeys in the bath, but in other seasons there will be times when they hang out in the water, but please know that the monkeys are wild animals and there is no guarantee they are in the bath.

“A day of enjoyment in Nagano”
My family had a wonderful day visiting Nagano. The snow monkey park was so enjoyable and the hike from the park was beautiful. We enjoyed eating the traditional dumplings from this area, as well as the sake brewery tasting and the beautiful temple. Erin was very nice and informative and made the day very nice. Definitely a doable day trip from Tokyo using the Shinkansen. Oh and the apples and apple juice from this area is so delicious.

Kamikochi Nature Tour
We'll enjoy an easy hike in Kamikochi. It is 75mins walk along the creek from Taisyoike pond to Kappabashi, admiring diversity of nature and serenity being away from big cities. No private vehicles are allowed to enter Kamikochi. For your comfort We take a taxi from and to Kamikochi. Taxi fare(Around 40000yen) is not included to the tour fee, and payable to the driver.

Matsumoto Castle and its Surroundings
Matsumoto Castle was built about 400 years ago. It has one of the oldest castle towers in Japan, designated as a national treasure. The black and white contrast of the castle with a backdrop of the Japan's northern Alps is really photogenic!! When you stroll the castle town, you come across rows of old houses and also fresh spring waters in every corner.

Highlights for Obuse and Suzaka from Nagano City
You can visit some lovely places near Nagano Station, such as Obuse and Suzaka. Obuse is a small but pleasant town where Hokusai, the ukiyoe woodblock print artist known for "The Great Wave," lived in his later years. Entering the Museum and eating delicious chestnut sweets will bring back good memories. Suzaka is famous for its warehouses, which give a good atmosphere and are now used as stores and museums. Garyu Park also provides a beautiful sight in each of the four seasons.
