Gondola Ride to Mt Yahiko Top and Yahiko Shrine Visit
Visitors can enjoy the hike to the top of Mt Yahiko by gondola and a 15-minute walk to the very top of the mountain to visit the uppermost Yahiko Shrine. Please take a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan and the vast Echigo Plain. Cherry blossoms in spring and beautiful colored leaves in autumn are marvelous to see. Make a wish at main worship hall of Yahiko Shrine for a good memory.

Tour Important Information
We will visit Yahiko by JR train. The train services are limited so please be careful with the train schedule. We will walk a lot so please be prepared with sneakers or mountain climbing shoes are recommended. If the weather is bad, please be ready with rain or snow gear. Gondra fee is 1400 yen for a round trip.
Available every day except Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays. The cable car services are given all year around except : November 28～30, February 6-9 & 19-22, and March18-27 for maintenance. (2023-2024) The restaurant on top of Mt. Yahiko and the park are closed during the winter time.
Important message from the guide
Guiding in Sado is possible if transportation fee between Sado and Niigata is offered. Due to logistics, for those wanting to visit Sado Island, a two day advance notification prior to the meeting day is required. For your information, the boat fee for the round trip is 9620 yen (as of April 2023).
