Thanks to the multiple layers of enormous ground in Nikko area, Kegon -fall was created from which water flow from Chuzenji lake to a lower stage land.

Chuzennji lake is located near Nantai mountain on the altitude of 1269meter. This lake is on the highest place (1269meter) in Japan.
Between around 25k ~ 15k years ago, the large eruption continuously occurred on one of Nikko mountain area and Nantai mountain was created. This collapse of volcanic edifice created current beautiful Chuzenji-lake by damming up two rivers which used to be near Nantai mountain. As the result, two rivers existed in previous stage has become a large lake by a large amount of water accumulated.

At the entrance of this park, you will find a checkpoint called “Sekisho”. After through the gate, highway surrounded by forest appear and by walking toward inside, you will find various type of architecture, shopping places such as a post town, merchant houses, samurai residences and Ninja town. People in actual Edo era shape such as Samurai tied with topknot, town girls wearing Kimono and Ninja appear on various street inside the park. You can feel you time-slipped into Edo era.
To move to Kanmangafuchi Abyss and see there,
Located near the Daiya River, Kanmangafuchi Abyss is a small gorge created by an eruption from Mt. Nantai around 7,000 years ago. From the riverside path, you can see several small statues of jizo, a bodhisattva said to protect children, women and travelers. There are around 70 jizo, but legend holds that the number changes each time you try to count them. Near the upper stream you’ll spot some Sanskrit characters carved into the cliff, said to have been written by Kobo Daishi, the founder of Shingon Buddhism.

I passed a licensing examination of Kyoto Tourism Culture Certification Test 3rd grade in 2023.
I passed a licensing examination of Tokyo city guide in 2023.
I had worked for one of biggest Electric Company in the world which manufacture various type of Electrical products. I had a task roll of design development of Semiconductor for Video movie appliance in Japan and semiconductor marketing for 5 years in USA. Secondly, I had worked for one of big grovel Electric part Company which manufacture connectors for Electrical appliance usage. I had a task roll of quality assurance cooperating with the grovel college including USA, Europe (Ireland, Germany, France), China and Eastern Asia. As a result, I have communicated with people from different countries and I have become interested in introducing Japan to them. That is why I made decision to become an English tour guide.

One day Hakone tour for your great experience

“A trip to Hakone with Kashima well worth it”
Kashima expertly guided my son and I with a day tour of Hakone. All the logistics for the day were smooth and exactly as promised, and Kashima matched his pace to ours. He was very attentive to detail, and spent a lot of effort to explain the history and geology of Hakone in a very useful and interesting way. Hakone itself was beautiful, and I especially enjoyed visiting the checkpoint on the former Tokkaido Road and the replica waystation there. Kashima took care to optimize our time with him, and returned us exactly where we needed to be to continue our onward trip. Excellent day in Hakone with Kashima, and I would recommend!

Hakone is located in a big Caldera and 4 small calderas created inside the big caldera which had been created by repeated eruption from 40k years ago to 3k years ago. Those nature power had created lots of good hot springs and enormous beautiful nature such as Oowakudani valley, Lake-Ashi and small mountain accumulated by lava where Hakone shrine located. As such, Hakone is the nature and historical culture theme park with well prepared original transportation such as Hakone Tozan railway, cable car, Ropeway, Pirate cruising on Lake-Asi and Tozan bus. Thanks to you and your son strong curiosity, we could exchange various information and interesting conversation.
