Kon-ni-chi-wa. Hello! I'm Kaori, having lived in Tokyo for more than 20 years since I got married to a photographer who lives here. Originally from Shizuoka prefecture which has Mt.Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan. I took 2 working-holiday-visa stays in my younger days. One is in Toronto, Canada, and another is Australia touring by motorcycle. One year respectively.
I love travel both international and domestic. That's why I love helping individual travelers rather than group tours, because I myself love travel freely. Love nature, gardens, trekking, greenery, also anime. My favorite is taking you to the off-the-beaten tracks where I love.
As a national government licensed guide, I've got deep knowledge of Japanese culture and history. I really enjoy talking about the way of life with people from different cultures. We see what you like and talk what you are interested in. That's my style. If you don't know what to want, I can help you with that.
I'm happy to make tailor-made tours only for you (up to 4 people) upon your request.
・Half Day as you like (up to 4 hours) : 40,000 JPY
・Full Day as you like (up to 8 hours) : 64,000 JPY
・Extra hour over 8hours : 6,000 JPY/hour
I'm quite an outgoing person, ( but organized well! ), easy to get along with anybody, including small kids to teenagers. Can't wait to see you soon!

“My Fuji trip”
Outstanding. Kaori was an excellent guide. Friendly, knowledgeable exceptional. Had a wonderful time Highly recommend her!!!!!!
Kaori S.
Thank you so much (Arigatou gozaimasu) for giving me an excellent review just after we departed each other, Stanley-san. Though Mt.Fuji was too shy to show up, we had a wonderful day in a relaxed manner. I was so glad you mentioned us (me and my husband) as your new friends during our tour. We hope the rest of your stay is full of charming memories. Big hugs, Kaori

“Cherished Moments in Tokyo”
We began with a visit to Tokyo Skytree, where we enjoyed the breathtaking panoramic views of the city from the observatory deck. Following this, we explored the historic charm of Asakusa and the nostalgic streets of Yanaka, immersing ourselves in Tokyo’s rich cultural heritage. In the afternoon, the adventure continued at the world-famous Shibuya Crossing, an iconic symbol of the city’s vibrant energy. To conclude the day, we savored a delightful dinner in Ginza, one of Tokyo’s most elegant districts. Throughout the tour, we had the pleasure of conversing with Kaori-san, whose insightful guidance and knowledge added depth and meaning to your experience. It was truly a memorable day, blending modern marvels, traditional culture, and culinary delights.

Special thanks for your kind consideration to take your time to share feedback from your clients for my tour. I’m so delighted to hear they loved time with me. We enjoyed chatting over every aspect of life each other. It was extremely hot day for September. Therefore, we decided to spend more time in indoor activities to escape from the heat. We enjoyed a beautiful light lunch while viewing people crossing on Shibuya scramble crossing. Thank you for giving me such a beautiful encounter. What a treasure to be a tour guide! Much thanks always, Kaori

“Kamakura trip”
We met Kaori San for the first time was in 2019. It was our first time visiting Japan. We were so touched by how personal she was treating my family back then. She is the epitome of a guide you want to be with, when it was a first time being in Japan. She was friendly, very dependable, caring a lot about our enjoyment & satisfaction that we get from her tour. Every time we visit Japan, we always have her in our mind. So when it was time to send my kids (age 25, 18 and 16) to travel alone to Japan, I think about no one but Kaori-San. She crafted a Kamakura trip for them. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The one aspect that made them really enjoy the Kamakura Tour was all the history background of the places they got to see with Kaori’s help. She was as sweet and never forgot to add personal touches to her tour. She brought each kid a cute gift and she even sent me a gift though I was not part of the tour. I am so touched! Thank you so very much Kaori-San for a very thoughtful gift. I truly love it! We will always look for you the next time we are in Tokyo. Until we meet again !! <3 Please take care.
Kaori S.
Hello Dian san, THANK YOU so much for taking time to give me a heartfelt review. You wouldn't imagine how much I felt happy when I got your request. What could be more than happy to meet your kids again 6 years after we met in 2019. Felt like a mother or aunt to see them all grown up and traveled on their own now. I'm so grateful that you kindly gave me your trust and opportunity to guide for your precious ones as as the culmination of their celebratory visit to Japan. The sunset we enjoyed from Enoshima was one of the most impressive ones for me too. Also, lunturn lit-up festival made a special bonus for us! Glad to hear you loved a small gift. I wanted to give you something related to hydrangea, the flower you really loved, as we missed the season this time. Cannot wait to see you and your family again. Please pass my love to all of your family. Big hugs, Kaori
