Kei is fantastic. He worked with us to map out our day according to our interests and introduced to the slower side of life in Japan. He is so knowledgeable about the areas we visited, but also allowed us to get to know him a little as a person. We really enjoyed our tour and left only wishing we had more time to explore. “Private tour from Mt Fuji”
1. Overall it was a good experience with the tour and they were punctual 2. One set back was the parking/toll fees which we had to pay for the travel the driver took from Tokyo to Mt Fuji. The clause in the booking stated that we could book the trip from Mt Fuji instead of from Tokyo. As we have already booked our tickets from Tokyo to Mt Fuji, we took the tour option. We felt that it was unfair that we had to pay the additional charge from Tokyo to Mt Fuji when we clearly state that the start of the tour was from Mt Fuji. If it was toll and parking in Mt Fuji it would be fine.

Regarding the toll and parking fees, we would like to clarify the following: This tour is typically operated from Tokyo, and accordingly, the highway tolls are calculated from Tokyo. Even though the tour began from Mt. Fuji as per your request, the vehicle and driver still needed to travel from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji to meet you. This is one of the key differences between a private hire service (ハイヤー) and a traditional taxi in Japan. During the inquiry stage, we provided you with an estimate of the expected toll and parking fees for the entire journey, including the cost from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji. The booking was made after you reviewed and accepted these terms. We truly appreciate your understanding, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.
