Nara: the must-see place in Japan. Nara was the capital of ancient Japan before Kyoto became the capital. In the Nara era, Buddhism played an important role in stabilizing the country. So you can see many big old temples there. Many of these are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites and are concentrated in a small area. So, if you have only one free day to spend in the Kansai area, I highly recommend visiting Nara.

“The best way to experience Osaka!”
I can’t say enough good things about Aya. She made the tour feel less like a formal activity and more like exploring the City with a knowledgeable friend. Their passion for the area really showed, and they went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt included and engaged. This was one of the most memorable parts of my trip and I learned so much! “Amazing tour with Tomoe!”
We had an absolutely wonderful tour in Osaka with Tomoe. If I could give 7 out of 5 stars, I would! Before the tour, Tomoe asked thoughtful questions about our interests and then delivered a day that was perfectly tailored to us. She was incredibly knowledgeable, interesting, and so friendly throughout the entire experience. Her command of English was excellent, which made everything easy and enjoyable. We especially loved the lunch venue she chose for us — it was one of the highlights of our day. Thank you, Tomoe, for such a memorable experience in Osaka. We would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Japan!
