Are you keen to experience something very unique and traditional in Fukuoka?
If yes, try delicious local food in Yatai stalls! Yatai, open air food stands are probably the city’s best known symbol and a “must try” during your stay! Traditionally sitting shoulder to shoulder at the counter, these mobile Yatai kitchens have usually 8 to 10 seats and provide you with a cozy unique atmosphere.
An experience you will never find anywhere else!
At your hotel
Start off with walking around the site of Yatai stalls along the Nakasu river.
We will look at the menu and choose a Yatai stall.
Walk alongside the river and move on to Tenjin area to try another Yatai stall
Tenjin area or your hotel
Guide fee
Food and drinks
Most Yatai stalls open at 6 p.m. and especially ones in Nakasu area are usually very busy. I’d like to suggest we should start a tour before 6 p.m..
In stormy weather, many Yatai may be closed.
* I may be available for the night even on the days I blocked in the calendar. So pls. kindly ask!
I will be happy to guide you neighboring prefectures if you pay me transportation fee.
