Kazue I.
Hi! I am Kazue. I am from Fukuoka and live in the central city. I spent almost 20 years traveling around the world as a cabin attendant. Meeting different people, different cultures and eating local food were best things in my career. This experience definitely widened my perspective and will help me in some way when I work as a guide. Since I spent half my life outside of Japan, I noticed our culture and traditions are very unique and became more interested in historical sites in Japan. For my personal life, I am a mom of twins. It is still a hard work but I am enjoying a lot with them. We take them around Kyushu whenever possible for their fun and experience. We all love traveling after all. I am looking forward to showing you around our hometown soon!

Explore Fukuoka with a Friendly Local Guide! Hi, I’m Masa T. — a passionate and experienced local guide based in Fukuoka. Over the past 6 years, I’ve had the pleasure of guiding more than 1,100 travelers from the U.S., Europe, Australia, and Asia as a volunteer guide. My goal is simple: to help you discover the best of Fukuoka through fun, personalized, and flexible tours. I have created many tour courses based on my local knowledge and interests, and I’m also happy to offer customized tours tailored to your specific preferences and schedule. I studied in the U.S. for 1 year and 8 months, and later worked as a manager at a major Japanese company, where I collaborated with engineers from various countries. I then served as a director of a group company for 7 years. These experiences have helped me connect easily with people from all over the world. After exploring, I’d be happy to introduce you to some of the best local restaurants, where you can enjoy Sushi, Tempura, Sukiyaki, Ramen, Teppanyaki, and more. Let’s make unforgettable memories together in Fukuoka! Drawing on my background in international projects and leadership positions, I strive to provide tours that are both enjoyable and insightful for my guests." I participated in a five-day international convention organized by the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations in Fukuoka, attended by approximately 600 tour guides from around 50 countries, where I attended professional seminars and exchanged knowledge with guides from around the world.

I had worked for the Japan's biggest travel agency JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) for 35 years as a tour escort for Japanese. I visited 68 countries and of course all over Japan as well. So I’m familiar with almost all of the tourist attractions in Japan. More over I’m also a professional magician now. I’m a member magician of The Magic Castle in Hollywood in US. That's why I made a decision to become an English tour guide. I acquired a tour guide license issued by the Japanese government with a lot of hard work in 2016 and I started from the following year. I work as an English guide approximately 130 days a year. My wife is physically disabled, and I usually care for her. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I receive home care and bathing services, so I am unable to go out during the day as I have to prepare for and clean up afterwards. I am available to guide on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I can take up to four people sightseeing in my private car. I am available at any time during evening tours, such as YATAI tours. I look forward to hearing from you. Please ask me first. If it is possible.

Hi, I’m glad you found my page! I’m a local guide based in Kyushu who loves sharing the region’s history, food, and landscapes in a relaxed and friendly way. Think of me as someone who can make your trip comfortable and memorable, while keeping things easygoing and fun. I began guiding to share the history, scenery, and food of my home with visitors from around the world. Before this, I worked in luxury retail, where I learned how important details and genuine hospitality are. Now I bring that same spirit to my tours, making sure every guest feels comfortable, cared for, and free to enjoy their journey. I specialize in private car tours around Kyushu, so you don’t have to worry about train schedules or carrying luggage. We can stop where you like, take things at your own pace, and enjoy the scenery along the way. Onboard you’ll have free Wi-Fi, music, and a comfortable ride—perfect for families, couples, or friends who want both convenience and a touch of luxury. Some of my favorite places to share are: Nagasaki: Peace Park, Atomic Bomb Museum, and the city’s cultural blend Fukuoka: Dazaifu Shrine, city highlights, and Yanagawa’s river cruise with eel dishes Kumamoto: Mt. Aso’s volcanic views, Kumamoto Castle, and Kurokawa Onsen Oita: Hita’s riverside town, plus Beppu and Yufuin hot springs Saga: Arita’s ceramics and the Yoshinogari ancient site Takachiho Gorge: A mystical canyon tied to Japanese legends What I enjoy most is helping guests discover both famous sights and hidden corners of Kyushu, while keeping the experience comfortable and stress-free. Whether you’re drawn to culture, food, history, or beautiful scenery, I can adjust the plan to match your style. I’d love to share my part of Japan with you and create memories that last long after your trip. If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to send me a message. I look forward to welcoming you to Kyushu and showing you what makes this region so special!

Fukuoka Tour Reviews
Elayne D.
“A tour of Fukuoka and connecting with family”
If it were possible, we would award Kazue ten stars. We retained her services for a private Fukuoka tour, and she far exceeded our expectations. When we mentioned our search for relatives, Kazue made pre-arranged phone calls and coordinated meetings with two cousins and an uncle. She took us to the temple where our ancestors are buried, arranged a delicious lunch, and helped us navigate the language barrier. Without Kazue's assistance, we would not have been able to arrange any of this. We are grateful for Kazue's exceptional professionalism, kindness, and dedication to helping us connect with our roots. Thank you, Kazue, for this invaluable memory.

“The Best Tour Guide in Japan”
Tac was an outstanding guide and our day in Yamaguchi Prefecture was the highlight of our entire Japan trip. What stood out even before we met was how much preparation he put in. After our initial inquiry, he reorganized our itinerary into a more logical route without us even asking. He created a detailed, beautifully designed booklet covering the history of each site, maps of Tsunoshima, the best viewpoints for photos, and restaurant recommendations with pictures and prices. He even drove the route with his wife beforehand, swapped out the original restaurant when it didn't meet his standards, and found specific photo spots we never would have discovered on our own. On the day, his knowledge at each site was impressive but never overwhelming — he knew exactly how much context to share to make everything feel meaningful. His English was excellent and his personality made the whole day genuinely enjoyable. The planning, the scouting, the brochure, the music in the car — every detail was thought through. He clearly cares deeply about giving his guests a great experience, not just completing a tour. If you're looking for a private tour in the Fukuoka or Yamaguchi area, we can't recommend Tac highly enough.

Tac K.
It was truly a wonderful and enjoyable trip. I was able to share one of my favorite routes with you, and at the same time, it helped me discover many new things that I might never have noticed on a private trip by myself. At the Tsunoshima Nature Museum, when Sanjay showed interest in the large number of stuffed birds on display, one of the staff members noticed and kindly explained that the sky above Tsunoshima lies along a major migratory route. Because of this, a wide variety of birds gather in this area. We also learned, through the impressive shell collection, that many of the shells unique to Tsunoshima are white. As they break down, they turn the seabed white, which is why the sea appears cobalt blue even on cloudy days. After hearing this, the three of us took a walk to the beach. As we stood there, looking out at the vast sea and sky stretching before us, with the lighthouse to our left, right in the middle of rich and beautiful nature, and feeling the refreshing breeze while watching the clear waves gently stirring up the white sand, I felt a deep sense of happiness. I was also very happy that both of you kindly complimented my English. Since you are both interested in Japanese culture and occasionally spoke Japanese during our conversation, it made me even happier. Many thoughts came to my mind — what exactly a shrine is, why foxes are associated with it, how the thousands of torii gates came to be, what the differences are between Shakyamuni Buddha, Fudō Myōō, and why Japanese people pray for their family's happiness at shrines while reflecting on their ancestors at temples. I did my best to find the right words to express these ideas. I’m also glad that you enjoyed the music I had prepared, and to be honest, the entire experience was so enjoyable that I almost felt guilty receiving a fee. I sincerely wish you both all the best on your future travels. And if you come back to Japan, I would be more than happy if you could reach out to me again.

“Lovely time!”
Kazue was an absolutely wonderful guide, and we had a fantastic experience with her. From the very beginning, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive to our needs. She went out of her way to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we were comfortable at all times. Her attention to detail and thoughtful approach really stood out, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making our experience enjoyable. Kazue is also a very effective communicator—clear, organized, and easy to coordinate with—which made the entire experience stress-free. Her knowledge was impressive, and she shared insights and context that made everything we saw even more meaningful. Overall, Kazue is professional, kind, and highly dedicated to what she does. We truly appreciated her effort and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and considerate guide.
