“Felt like time with an old friend ”
I didn't want a planned day, I wanted to explore and experience. Hiro made sure we had a full day of just that. It was like running around town with an old friend. We saw the sights, ate delicious food and enjoyed Hiro's company. He created the perfect day for us and give us suggestions for the rest of our trip. Thank you for a memorable day!
“Not what we expected ”
We had 4 food tours around Japan , and hero’s tour was our least favorite . Hero was nice but was clueless of what a food tour is . He kept asking what we wanted to eat and kept asking for transportation money during the tour . I was surprised he charges extra which I did not read when I booked . He took us to restaurants that were crowed and I asked for street food . Hope he improves his game , he was very pleasant .

(46 reviews)Hello Pat, Thank you for your honest reply! I am sincerely sorry that I could not provide you with what you were looking for. Unfortunately Nishiki Market was very crowded that day and I did not want to waste your time by making you queue up for ages. That`s why I asked you what kind of food you liked so I could provide some alternatives. But I understand now that that came across as very unprofessional to you. I am so sorry for the misunderstanding! I am also very sorry that the restaurants were crowded! During cherry blossom season Kyoto is very busy unfortunately and all the good places tend to get especially busy. I know that that must have been so frustrating to you. I tried really my best to make everyone in your family happy. When the guests have very different ideas (for example street food vs sit down restaurant) of what they want to eat I always try to find a compromise, but I think this time my offers could not satisfy everyone in your party. Once again let me sincerely apologize to you! I am very happy to hear though that you seemed to have a great experience with other guides, so my mistake did not put you off japanese food and people in general. I hope you have a lovely rest of your trip and lots more delicious food! Kindest regards, Hero
“Amazing tour guide!”
Hiro was a very knowledgeable and accommodating guide. He discussed our itinerary before hand and worked with us to customise it to what we wanted. He was very knowledgeable of the area and history and answered all of the questions we had. We all had an amazing time and would highly recommend him.
