In this tour, you will visit one of the most popular touristic places, Dazaifu Tenmangu followed by Yatai stalls.
Daizaifu Tenmangu is a large shrine set in beautiful ground in the historic town of Dazaifu city.
After that you will experience something very unique and traditional in Fukuoka. Yatai, open air food stands provide you with a cozy unique atmosphere. Let's wrap up the day with great local delicacies.

We will take the bus from Hakata station or the train from Tenjin approx. 40 mins.
Yatai stalls
We will first start a Yatai stall at Tenjin and walk to Nakasu area to find another one. We will walk along the river to enjoy the atmosphere of the night time in the area.

About Tour Guide Kazue I.
Hi! I am Kazue. I am from Fukuoka and live in the central city.
I spent almost 20 years traveling around the world as a cabin attendant. Meeting different people, different cultures and eating local food were best things in my career.
This experience definitely widened my perspective and will help me in some way when I work as a guide.
Since I spent half my life outside of Japan, I noticed our culture and traditions are very unique and became more interested in historical sites in Japan.
For my personal life, I am a mom of twins. It is still a hard work but I am enjoying a lot with them. We take them around Kyushu whenever possible for their fun and experience.
We all love traveling after all.

“Wonderful time in Fukuoka”
We had a wonderful time in Fukuoka. Ms Kazue was such a good guide. She gave us trivias of the different places and shared a bit of the Japanese cultures. From the old town to the sea side, we take a public bus from Hakata station unless you prefer a taxi, you can enjoy the ride looking at the scenery including sea and pay pay dome where baseball matches and some events take place. For lunch, let me know if you have preferences, otherwise you may grab something whenever you feel like!

Yanagawa River Cruising and Dazaifu Tenmagu
The river boat ride in Yanagawa is very enjoyable and relaxing! You never get tired of looking at unique view and beautiful waterways from the boat. Unagi-Seiromushi (Eel) , the specialty in Yanagawa is a must try! We can also visit Ohana, the former residence of feudal load who ruled this region during Edo periods, and the former house of Samurai. Dazaifu Tenmangu is kind of on the way back to the city. We can stroll around the shrine and you can grab local sweets and some souvenirs there!
