Nanzoin Temple Nirvana Statue
For many years, Nanzoin Temple has been sending medicines and stationery to children in Southeast Asia, including Myanmar and Nepal. In return, the temple received a gift of the three relics of Buddha, Ananda, and Maudgalyayana from the Myanmar Buddhist Council in 1988. The Shaka Nirvana Statue was built as a place to house these relics. It was completed in May 1995. This is not a tourist spot. It is an important place of prayer for believers. Please be quiet and respectful when visiting the temple grounds. Groups of foreigners must be accompanied by a Japanese-speaking person (interpreter).

“Nice day outside of Fukuoka”
We had a nice day with Katsu. He was very detail oriented. We told him we wanted to see the pokemon manhole covers and he took us to all three right at the beginning. Then we enjoyed the shrine and historical sights. He arranged for us a very good lunch where we enjoyed steak and eel. Katsu created a new itinerary for us which exceeded our expectations!
Katsu N.
Dear Julie, Rodney, and Lily, -Thank you for leaving me a review even though you were tired after a long trip. I'm glad that you were satisfied. After doing some research, I found that there are still more Pokemon manholes in the area where I can make a tour, so I look forward to seeing you again. -Katsuhisa

“Excellent Service By Mr Katsu N.”
My mother and I are very happy with the service that Mr Katsu has provided. It was a very pleasant journey in Nagasaki. He is attentive, patient and helpful. He has even asked what songs that we would like to listen so he can download before the trip for us. Though certain places are not accessable for seniors, he will still bring us there to take a picture. We would like to have him if we were to visit Nagasaki again. Thank you.
