In this tour you will visit the old town, the sea side area and the relaxing park. Basically what you must see in the city. From the old town to the sea side, we take a public bus from Hakata station unless you prefer a taxi, you can enjoy the ride looking at the scenery including sea and pay pay dome where baseball matches and some events take place. For lunch, let me know if you have preferences, otherwise you may grab something whenever you feel like!

Furusato-Kan (folk museum)
It is a small museum but the buildings introduce life and culture in the past ages and you can watch the performance of local craft here if the timing matches.

Sennen no Mon
This gate was built to welcome tourists to the temple town of Hakata.
Fukuoka tower
We take a bus t from Hakata station to the Fukuoka tower.
You can enjoy the 360 panoramic view of the city and Hakata bay.

Hi! I am Kazue. I am from Fukuoka and live in the central city.
I spent almost 20 years traveling around the world as a cabin attendant. Meeting different people, different cultures and eating local food were best things in my career.
This experience definitely widened my perspective and will help me in some way when I work as a guide.
Since I spent half my life outside of Japan, I noticed our culture and traditions are very unique and became more interested in historical sites in Japan.
For my personal life, I am a mom of twins. It is still a hard work but I am enjoying a lot with them. We take them around Kyushu whenever possible for their fun and experience.

Yanagawa River Cruising and Dazaifu Tenmagu
The river boat ride in Yanagawa is very enjoyable and relaxing! You never get tired of looking at unique view and beautiful waterways from the boat. Unagi-Seiromushi (Eel) , the specialty in Yanagawa is a must try! We can also visit Ohana, the former residence of feudal load who ruled this region during Edo periods, and the former house of Samurai. Dazaifu Tenmangu is kind of on the way back to the city.
