Hakone is one of the best sightseeing spots with beautiful sceneries and 20 kinds of hot springs.
Take a Shinkansen (a bullet train) from Tokyo. After that, a mountain train that runs through valleys, a ropeway that allows you to view beautiful Mr. Fuji on a sunny day and cruising at Lake Ashi. Owakudani is the place where you can see the real volcanic activity.
My favorite part of this tour is Lake Ashi where You can have the most beautiful view of Mt. Fuji with the lake.

Hotel Pick Up
Meet at your Hotel and move to Tokyo or Shinagawa by train.
Shinkansen (a bullet train) from Tokyo or Shinagawa to Odawara for about 30 minutes.
It runs at a speed of about 260km/hr, but please be noted that this is not the fastest Shinkansen.
Mountain train from Odawara to Gora for about one hour.
This mountain train runs through valleys. From the middle of June to the Middle of July, hydrangeas along the line are so beautiful.
Cable car and ropeway from Gora to Owakudani for about 20 minutes.
From this ropeway, you can enjoy beautiful Mt. Fuji on a sunny day.

One of the Mt. Fuji viewing spots in Hakone, and you can see the real volcanic activity. A black egg boiled in the hot spring is famous here
Cruising at Lake Ashi
You can enjoy beautiful combination of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi.
Bus from Lake Ashi to Odawara for about one hour.
Shinkansen (a bullet train) from Odawara to Tokyo or Shinagawa for about 30 minutes.

- Gora Park. European garden and Japanese garden. (Admission free if you have Hakone Free Pass)

- According to the weather records of Fuji city, the possibility of viewing Mt Fuji depends on the season, about 80% in winter while less than 30% in summer.
- The ropeway and cruising at Lake Ashi will either be suspended or unable to operate as scheduled when natural hazards such as snow or strong winds are forecast.

“Tokyo with a Private Guide using the Subway.”
We had a very interesting day with Hideaki M. visiting a number of places in Tokyo by subway which we would never have got to on our own. He did a great job; setting a pace suitable for Senior Citizens who were very tired, having just disembarked from our ship! Tokyo Government Building Observation Room was a great stop where we enjoyed panoramic views and even got to see Mt. Fuji in all its glory. The visit to Shinjuku Gyoen Garden National Park was very special with many of the Cherry trees still in flower giving some beautiful displays of blossoms and so many other spectacular trees and a finally a visit to the traditional Japanese garden. We stopped for lunch where we had to cook our own food on a hot plate at the table which was a great experience as we have never done that before. The food was really very good, reasonably priced and very tasty! Then it was off to Shibuya Scramble Crossing to enjoy the atmosphere of crossing with many, many people in all directions. By then these Seniors were ready for home so we took our last subway ride for the day and were delivered back to our hotel. Hideaki thank you for your assistance with our shopping along the way and especially helping with collecting our pre-purchased train tickets for our upcoming journey: it was much appreciated. It was a great experience all round, so thank you.

I loved the tour around tokyo and wished I had more days to explore. My guide Hideaki , was knowledgeable, friendly and explained in detail the various attractions we visited. It was a very pleasant day and was lucky to get a view of the mount fuji from the observation deck. Loved the stroll along the quiet backstreets of tokyo.
