Hi, I'm Yoko, a National License Tour Guide&International Kikisake-shi.
I speak with an American accent, 'cause I lived in Seattle, Washington for six years in my childhood(3-9 years old). My tours might be better with people who LOVE TO WALK, have STAMINA and keen to learn about the culture.
Now I live within a walking distance from Ueno Park, Tokyo, so I see a lot of International tourists walking around in my neighborhood every day.
(PLEASE CHECK EACH TOUR. The expenses are spelled out, too.)
"Tokyo is larger than we thought and the transportations are so complicated," Swedish guys told me. I'm here to help you. I know well about Tokyo, Yokohama, Yamanashi etc. and I travel most of the parts of Japan.
I would appreciate if you could see more sightseeing spots with me as your guide and enjoy your stay.
I love to answer your questions, even though I became nearly breathless when I was with American guests, a family of three, curiously asking me questions after questions:-)
I appreciated their interest in Japan very much.
I also go mountain trekking for nearly thirty years. I've been to the summit of Mt. Fuji and Mt. Kitadake three times. Talking about Mt. Takao, maybe more than fifty times.
I hope we can enjoy the beautiful view together.
I'm looking forward to seeing you soon and having a good time together.
Hope to hearing from you soon.
“Do not use this guide, bad experience ”
This guide was searching personal information about my friends and told me, I see your friend is an attorney in the USA, so he should be able to pay admission fees. I was asking how much yen we needed to bring on the tour and she said you need to bring cash to tip me and if your friends are adults and not minors they should have cash in their wallets, she knew that he was an attorney so it was a sarcastic statement. Her communication with me was combative at times. She refused to give me even a rough itinerary or agree to one that I sent her and told me I was an amateur and when I said that I wasn’t sure if she was trying to be rude but saying that is rude she just said I was rude for asking questions about a tea ceremony., Yoko kun doesn’t have a good grasp of English or manners and is not ethical. She can say words in English but she doesn’t understand the meanings and how rude the things that she says are. I tried to get her replaced but they said everyone was fully booked and they would not refund the money for the tour I was getting for my friends. My friends said she was very strange and they would never go on a tour with her again. It was like a fatal attraction thing and she stalked us online… very strange. The company is aware of this and apologized multiple times and said they were going to train her and take disciplinary actions. I will post the conversations I have screenshots of on a google review.

(139 reviews)Sir, why are you writing a nutty review? You're friends are much matured than you think they are.
“Exciting guided tour with Yoko”
exciting guided tour through TOKYO, 8 hours flew by, yoko can tell so much that one day is not enough. We could have booked her for three days and she would still know so many interesting things about the City. With Yoko you should be fit, you will Walk some distances, that was also a reason why we booked her. In summary: an perfekt day!

(139 reviews)Thank you so much for a wonderful review, Sylvia san and Wilhelm san. It was so much fun to hear interesting stories about the hometown of Siebolt and Germany etc. We visited Meiji Jingu Shrine, East Gardens, Ueno Park and Asakusa. Luckily we could see some Autumn Cherry trees too. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. Thank you again for a perfect day, Yoko

“Yoko exceed our expectations. ”
We booked our guide Yoko based on a recommendation from a relative. We had no idea of what a great decision that would turn out to be. Yoko readily adjusted our itinerary based on things we had already seen. And her depth of knowledge and the information she was able to share about the Meiji shrine was amazing. And her knowledge of the Imperial Palace gardens and grounds was equally superb. Perhaps the highlight of our tour was when she took us on a tour of “old Tokyo” where we walked through an old neighborhood, ate at a tiny neighborhood restaurant she knew of (and where they knew her) and visited several small neighborhood shrines and art galleries in some real out of the way places. It was the highlight of our tour. Yoko spoke excellent English and was a pleasure to talk to. Suffice it to say she far, far exceeded our expectations and truly made it the best day of touring in Tokyo. Highly recommend her with 5 plus stars.

(139 reviews)I appreciate you writing a superb review so soon, Dorine san and the kind words your husband Harvey told me after the tour. I also would like to thank your cousin Sheryl san for her recommendation. Yanaka is the old residential area where you can see some houses from the former century with some new ones where even the locals appreciate a lot. I'm quite grateful with your heartwarming comments that you made at each place we viisted. Chiyonofuji is the name of the Yokozuna that we saw a statue of one of the temples at the end of our tour. I hope both of you will also have a wonderful trip in China and come back in Spring and see the beautiful cherry blossoms. Thank you again for everything, Yoko
