Hiroshima Private Tour - In and around the Peace Memorial Park, you may encounter many cenotaphs and monuments. This monument is standing in a corner, but just in front of Bell of Peace. It reads that we dedicated this bell as a symbol of Hiroshima aspiration. Let all nuclear arms and wars be gone. And the nations live in true peace! May it ring to all corners of the earth to meet the ear of every man, for in it throb and palpitate the hearts of its peace-loving donors. So may you, too, friends. Step forward and toll the bell for peace.

Hiroshima Private Tour - This old Fukuro-machi Elementary School is another testimony to convey the disaster of A-bombing since it served as one of relief stations. Many people wrote massages to tell or inquire the latest news of survivors' whereabouts on the walls of the school during that time and some of them still remain there even now. It is located just a couple of min. from the busy shopping street.

Hiroshima Private Tour - Enjoy Okonomiyaki ! ...I know the best Okonomiyaki restaurant in Hiroshima (chuckle). Okonomiyaki is a Japanese pizza or pancake full of chopped up veggies and meats/or seafood. We. the locals love this food. Famous sweet and spicy sauce makes the Okonomiyaki tastier. Cut into a bite size and eat with Kote (spatula type cutlery). That is the way we do. Give it a try. In wintertime, you may enjoy oysters here, which are also Hiroshima's delicacy. Quickly fried with butter...uh, yam...

Hiroshima Private Tour - When you roam central Hiroshima, you may notice irresistible smell of freshly baked breads. Yes. It comes from this "Anderson" building, a very famous bakery shop in Hiroshima. We may drop in at this store for a cup of coffee. This building was also A-bombed but still well used for commercial purpose. Unfortunately it is planed to rebuild in the near future to enhance earthquake disaster prevention measures.

First up, I bring you to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Hiroshima is well known as the first atomic bombed city in the world history. You walk and drop by at many spots built to commemorate the victims and learn more at the Peace Memorial Museum. After that study tour, we roam around Central area and finally arrive at Okonomiyaki restaurant for early supper. Okonomiyaki is Hiroshima's soul food; a savory pancake filled with chopped vegetables, meat, sea food, noodle, egg... Just give it a try.
