Okonomiyaki is the most famous as Hiroshima soul food, cooked with superposition of cabbage, bean sprouts, pork, egg and noodles, which is soba or udon, on thin flour dough spread like crepe.

The Peace Memorial Museum is currently undergoing renovations, during which only one of the museum's two buildings will be open to visitors and the number of exhibits will be reduced. The renovations are scheduled to be completed by spring 2019.

“An Incredible Day With Kazumi in Hiroshima ”
We’ve literally just got back to our hotel following a day with Kazumi in Hiroshima. And what a day it was! We visited the Memorial Museum and Park and surrounding areas, had a typical Okonomiyaki meal at a local restaurant and then on to Miyajima island. Kazumi was excellent as a guide. Excellent English. She went into great detail to explain everything to us. Her knowledge is excellent. And to learn about the bomb and how her family was impacted was very thought provoking. She was very relaxed and very friendly. She also answered everything we could ask of her and was great in explaining the Japanese way of life and customs. We felt like we learned so much from her. We all thoroughly enjoyed our day with her. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone thinking of using a guide whilst in Hiroshima. “Perfect Hiroshima Day”
