This tour invites you to fully experience the charm of Kagawa — from legendary udon shops hidden deep in the mountains and beloved by locals, to mouthwatering Honetsukidori (grilled chicken with bone), fresh local seafood, exquisite Japanese sweets found only in Kagawa, and even hands-on craft experiences that connect you with the region’s culinary and cultural soul.

- Please meet me in front of the station and bus terminal. Hotel pick-up is also available upon request. Let me know your accommodation.
Hidden Udon restaurant
We will visit a renowned udon shop hidden deep in the mountains that can only be reached by car.
You will be charmed by the warm smiles of the very friendly staff.
Japanese confectionery workshop
You will have a hands-on workshop using the finest sugar made with traditional techniques found only in Kagawa.
You will also learn about the artisan’s dedication and meticulous craftsmanship.
This workshop requires a reservation. If you wish to secure your participation, please message me first before booking the tour directly. I will check the availability for you.
Honetsukidori restaurant
We will go to enjoy Honetsukidori, Kagawa’s soul food after udon.

“Beautiful sights with the best guide!”
Kagawa is filled with so many beautiful places and such rich history, and Takanori was the perfect guide for this experience. He took the time to not only show me around some of the best spots, but also explain the history of the area in such an enthusiastic and interesting way, that it made everywhere we went feel even more special. He was the perfect guide, and went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience possible. He also took me to lunch and it was one of the best meals I have had anywhere and also gave me more recommendations that were great for dinner as well. If you are looking to experience Kagawa, you need to do it with Takanori, you will be so glad you did! He really made my trip so memorable, and I now consider him a friend. On my next trip to Japan I am definitely using Takanori again as my guide!

“The best bonsai in the world with the perfect guide!”
This was such a great experience, and Takanori was the perfect guide for it! If you are into Bonsai, this is a must do trip and Takanori is who you want showing you around all of the different nurseries and gardens. He explained all of the interesting history of bonsai in Kagawa and Takamatsu to me as we went from stop to stop, and he has great relationships with many of the nursery owners. I not only got to see all the world class bonsai and gardens in the area, but I was able to interact with the owners as well. A few of them invited us for tea or drinks and to sit and talk with them as well, which was such a special experience I wouldn’t have been able to have without Takanori. He even took me to a local Udon restaurant for lunch which was delicious. This is the true hidden gem of Bonsai in Japan, and I would highly recommend Takanori to anyone interested in this experience. He was such a nice and thoughtful guide, and went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience possible. I can’t say enough about him, because he made this one of the best experiences of my life and something I will never forget!
